fuck and yes.

Man, that looks awesome. This can't be worse than the 80's Captain America movie.

I don't read Captain America comic but I saw some promo pics of Weaving with his real face. If he's actually looking like that red monstrosity, why is he looking normal in the promo pics (the one with the cube)?

It's either a side effect from the cosmic cube or him using the Nazi version of the super soldier serum.

Hm you can kind of get a better idea of of Red Skull being the true face here..

Notice the hair and ear?

Captain America flanked with the Howling Commandos. Bucky on the left and Dum Dum Dugan on the right..

What are you talking about? They did the exact same thing with Tobey Maguire. In 2002.

And it looks nearly as rough. Geez. My 2 favorite big name superheroes (Green Lantern) are getting the budget treatment on computer imagery. That said, I'm pumped for both.

It looks like Cap is wearing a different mask in that pic

Seeing the Howling Commandos come to life makes it even more painful that they ruined Nick Fury.

Fucking Millar.

Could that be Fury as one of the soldiers behind the ones that are visible?

The majority of the film takes place in the 1940s. Fury would have to be an old man, or cryogenically frozen himself to be in this film during that time period. I'm pretty sure he's in one of the modern parts, but he's not going to be in any of Capt's WWII adventures.

Comic book info

Fury has kept himself young-ish since WWII with the Infinity Formula. Don't know if they will put that in the movie though.

ITT, we ask for links to the Deadpool script? kthx!

I thought the trailer looked really good. Red Skull was always one of my favorite villains, and Hugo Weaving is a great choice. I wonder if he's getting tired of acting behind masks yet.

done.

im not saying it was distractingly bad, but it was noticeable that it was CG, which is fine. You can't expect them to film scenes with Evans and then have him gain 30 lbs and film the rest.

Um you're out of your league here, comic wise.

Indeed, send me that baby. This way when the movie is never made I can say, hey at least it WOULD have been good.

Also, I really liked what I saw from the teaser but I really need to see more. Like the look of red skull. Early screenings from comic con seemed positive so I have faith.

edit: You also forgot Ryan Reynolds is in R.I.P.D

I'm talking movie-verse. Jackson said Fury only has a cameo in this film with a one-day shoot. He's not going to be in World War II, especially with Marvel at least half-assed attempting to keep it logistical.

Gonna be weird not having fury with the howling commandos. Perhaps thats how it went down in the Ultimate universe...I pretend it doesnt exist like Millar is going to after he finishes up on Ultimate Spiderman.

Is there a reason that we can't post a link to the Deadpool script in the thread? Is it against the ToS or something?

Also, the spot for this looks decent, but I can't bring myself to be hyped for something from a studio that's 0/3 so far and a director who made fucking Jurassic Park 3.

I think it's just guys being ultra cautious cos we posted the script in the thread that was made about it.

exactly.

all of you that requested should have it in your inboxes.

I really hope that during the actual trailer for the movie Bucky and Dum Dum get a more "prominent" role in the trailer.

Even though the requests for a link to the Deadpool script are distracting from the core subject of this thread enough already...

Pretty please?

That's why I said they ruined Fury. Well, they follow Millar's idiotic thread.

I keep coming in the captain America thread thinking there are new developments, or interesting discussion, instead, I just see requests for the dead pool script.

So, can someone explain why red skull has a...red skull? I looked on wikipedia but it never really explains it...something about the cosmic cube?

EDIT: Sorry, found this: Hitler gave Schmidt a unique uniform with a grotesque red skull mask. Really? That's it?

To those who want Deadpool script, can you *please* just PM whoever claimed that he/she has it? That way the rest of us don't have to open thread only to be bombarded with script request.

Apparently it's going to be changed in the movie. Supposedly Hugo Weaving's face is just a mask and that red skull's red skull is the real face. Probably due to the cosmic cube.

Originally it was a mask but now it's a disfigurement caused by the Dust of Death.

Why does he look that way? I think he's just wearing a red mask that Hitler gave him. I don't think he actually has the red skull grafted to his head though.

Oh so I guess it was different.

Yep. He wopuld spray a "red death dust" into his victims faces which would kill them and make their facial skin tight and red looking like they had a red skull. It backfired when someone (dont remeber who) blew the dust back into his face, which didnt kill him but made his head permanently a red skull.

I've watched this Superbowl 'trailer' about half a dozen times now and I honestly don't see what everyone else is seeing in it that I'm not.

30 seconds of footage can be the perfect 'tequila shot' of quick fire action shots but it can also hide a multitude of sins.

The 'transformation' sequence seems well done but everything else looked really ropey. I wasn't sure what tone to expect (obviously not something akin to Saving Private Ryan) from the film but the action sequence shows looked very GI Joe to me.

I'm sure the proper trailer will reveal all but this teaser doesn't really have me excited for this project...yet.

My money is on the goddamned Batman.
