It's a disgrace that Nintendo don't at least give us the option to have Japanese text on the back of our western boxes.

PSP was the same way. Took a while for all publishers to utilize it fully though, so the precedent seems beneficial.

Those cases are all for promotion, I wouldn't expect the insides of real ones to have the same design (if any).

Love the local multiplayer icon. So Bomberman and Puyo Puyo can be played locally by two players with joycons... I wonder how analog stick works for that?

Insides look great but the manual holders have a strange placement. I suppose most games will use the inside design as a manual like Zelda seems to:
One struggles to find any part of these case studies to be wasteful, they are tiny and slim compared to every game case out there. It's design also makes its visibility harder than competitors boxes because of their tiny logo and branding.

There's a manual holder above the cartridge holder inside. Publishers can choose to make reversible covers if they want.
You know it's console launch time when we're excited to see game boxes. They seem decent enough to me.

Aha yeah for sure, I remember being facinated about Xbox One cases having discs on the left side of the box. I still am quite frankly.

Loving these cases. So sleek and tiny. The Bomberman one has so much going on, hope the EU version is the same.
I distinctly remember the Dracula X Chronicles having a particularly stunning inside art but I can't find an actual photo of it, just a scan.
I'm quite delighted that Nintendo is reviving this style for Switch.
They look the same on the outside and I see no reason they wouldn't look the same on the inside.
What's notable to me is that back in the PSP days, many publishers were lazy and didn't bother to do inside cover art. A lot of times it was just blank white.
Here it seems every single Switch game is going to have inside art, which is amazing.
