Someone from SHH made this, and I totally agree:
The new suit should have looked something more like that. I don't like the fact that they just re-used the exact same suit material (hexagonal textured red stretchy cloth) when ASM had something new going for it.
I don't see why it matters. He's going to be swinging around, running away from Jamie Fox. The texture of the suit is so insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
And that post up there makes me want emoting eyes even more. Even if it's subtle. I jus think there should be SOME movement.
God that looks awesome. And these are just set pics. Also make note of the new web shooters.

I've had a consistent joygasm for the last few hours. I'm sure I'll enjoy the movie more if this piece of eye candy is present more.
Also, the bulge returns in that second picture!
Not at all, the texture of the materials certainly matters and changes the whole feel of this version of SM. Swinging around or not we'll see plenty of him close up. I just think it was a bit lazy, tbh.
All that said, I am digging the new eyes and from what I can tell the suit will look awesome on-screen.

I think it works because it still retains the same basic design of the first movie's suit, sans belt. The red on the arms still tapers down to the gloves and the back still has that slight indent upwards near the traps. Overall, it's a good progression to the iconic Spidey outfit.
I actually really like the ASM outfit, and I was hoping they'd modify it and use that as a base. This looks completely different, but the eyes are awesome. The rest of it is giving me Raimi vibes, especially the webbing and the spider logo.
At the time, I thought the Raimi outfit was great and "modern", but looking at it now in comparison to the ASM one, and it looks a bit outdated.

Not the prettiest MJ but she can't be worse than Dunce.
Probably before Make-Up team has gotten to her. Chick can look stunning with it on, then again I guess anyone can.

I dunno, even with that pic, she doesn't shout MJ to me. Emma Stone is what I called nailed casting. This I'm not feeling yet.

I was thinking of the redhead but now that I look at them, she looks more like the blond.
Let's be honest, Peter Parker was a bit of a fucking dick in the first film. I just hope it was an attempt at slowly developing him into a more responsible human being over the course of the trilogy.
She looks 15 in some of those shots. I guess it makes sense since Pete's still in high school.
