First (low quality) look at new Godzilla (2014) at SDCC

That's a cool redesign of Godzilla. Very nice poster too.

I noticed that there's a bunch of old Godzilla movies on NetFlix. I was almost compelled to check out Monster Zero again.
 
If that poster is reflective of Godzilla's size in this, he's going to be absurdly massive. I suppose that'll help adjust him to be bigger than modern buildings, but holy shit.

Seeing the head face-on like this and comparing to the still in the OP, it doesn't look like this is the same model. Forehead looks too flat and broad on this model to be the same as the one peeking in the building in the SDCC tour. I think it looks more like the model shown just with the bust of the head.
 
Not realy digging the Bearzilla look to be honest....
Spines are too small as well.

On a side note, does anyone know where i can buy the exact same Godzilla figure that stood on the cabinet behind the sofa in the living room of the Connor residence? (Roseanne)

Willing to break the bank for the original figure from the show!
 
Man, I really hope the concept art and poster are accurate with the scale of Godzilla. I'm giddy at the thought of him that big.
 
lol. bearzilla looks cute. i don't think it's menacing enough, i see the barney comparisons.

edit: well pics in the op look beastly. but the ones above me look funny.
 
According to some people that went to Godzilla Encounter. Bandai is going to reveal their toy of the official design after the Godzilla Panel Saturday.
 
Went to the Godzilla encounter tonight. It was awesome! They had the Oxygen Destroyer prop from the 1954 original and an original Godzilla suit from what I think was Godzilla vs. Megaguirus if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, after letting us take pictures of the simulated Tokyo area for about 5 to 10 minutes, they warn that Godzilla is coming and whisk us into a control room looking much like the ones from those early 90's Godzilla movies. We get to go crazy on the switches and knobs (which don't actually do anything) until they see Godzilla is headed straight to San Diego they put us in a fake elevator (Which says it has 25 floors despite the building having only two). It shakes a little as Godzilla is approaching so they then put us in an office building with the blinds open and ask us to watch for Godzilla. Sure enough, he starts to walk past. Looking a lot like the Godzilla of old. Great design. He then gets his face right up to the window just like that earlier pic shown. He then walks off and we exit with the Comic Con exclusive Godzilla poster.

Even though the neck is a little thick I really, REALLY like the shape of his head/face/snout on the full-body figure. The head one doesn't have a long enough snout, he has an ugly GINO chin, and the exposed teeth make him look stupid.

Which does it look MORE like? Their faces are totally different.

I'd say closer to the bottom one. We'll probably find out for sure Saturday.
 
I think the only real big difference is the lower jaw. He has mostly always had the bear snout its just the lower jaw opened up a lot further so it wasn't as noticeable
