Flashback - Which version is better?

I had no problem playing the megadrive version on a pad, to be fair I have no problem with the iphone controls either so maybe I am pro!

Godamn I have this for the SNES. I remember it used to creep the shit out of me when I was young. Those pillars of green light that would disintegrate you used make me really nervous and the sound they made godamn. Also the music pretty creepy sometimes. Great game though. I miss the 90s. I remember my older brother was jealous because I made it through the tower thing before he did. :D

The original PC version on floppy disks is in my opinion the best.

Avoid the PC CD-ROM version though. They replaced all the gorgeous polygonal cutscenes with horrible, grainy, jerky pre-rendered video.

Being the Amiga fan that I am, I'm gonna assume the following:

Amiga: the original
Genesis: maybe smoother gameplay but way worse sound
SNES: maybe slightly better graphics but slower and choppier gameplay and cutscenes (remember that Flashback uses polygonal characters)
I know the Amiga and the SNES versions, and the SNES version is a mediocre port. Graphics are blurry and the framerate in the cutscenes is worse. Overall though, the SNES port is still a good game.

Amiga/PC versions are the best, the most colors, resolution, and no load times

SNES version has lower resolution but more colors than Genesis, and renames Death Tower to Cyber Tower. Whoop de do.

3DO, PC CD, and Sega CD versions have new pre-rendered cutscenes. These lack the charm of the original though.

For the record here was the Amiga layout for controls (taken from iPhone version), hence why I prefer all the controls in the palm of my hands on the SNES version.
