30 fps is unacceptable.
MS needs to keep this one in the oven longer.
With a VRR TV you can exceed 30 FPS by quite a bit it seems. But 60FPS in all situations appears to be impossible, not even a overclocked 5950x/3090 combo can do that at 1080p. For obvious reasons, real-time simulation over a mega city (including weather and all aircraft) is computationally very expensive.

Techniques like DRS is not going to help in situations where the CPU is getting slammed.

If VRR on the XSX version gives up to 15 fps then it would help but IMO 30 fps isn't cutting it.

Having never played a flight sim, I'm trying hard to imagine what the game is like to play? Is it fun?

Found this neat video that gives a good idea of the roller coaster ride of learning a sim. Not MS flight simulator, in this case it's DCS which is arguably way more complex as the goddamn aircrafts are war ready flying computers, but i found the video really nice, watch to the end, the blue angel final is nice..
