Go back to the 8 bit era for some bad names. Ultimate Play The Game is pretty bad, even though their games were some of the best. There was a lot of companies that had plays on words like micro, bit, byte etc, deliberately mis-spelling them. Conversely, you had Hewson Consultants and Prism Leisure, which didn't sound like video game companies at all.
Ultimate Play The Game was the trading name of Ashby Computers and Graphics ltd. ACG was set up by some blokes called Stamper and named after Ashby de la Zouch, the town they lived in. Something something Rare something
Yeah, i thought they were pretty bad names even when i was twelve.
I like Grasshopper Manufacture, don't know why. I just do.
