How to you reset your game progression, cant find where the save files are store??
C:\Users[yourusername]\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.OpusPG_8wekyb3d8bbwe\SystemAppData
Delete the save folder thats at the above location.
Launch the game, just before it hits the main menu, disconnect from the internet. It will start a new save. Play for a bit, beat the intro races and get to the point where you can exit the game from the pause menu.
Connect back to the internet and launch the game again. At the main menu it will ask whether you want to use the local save (new) or the cloud save (old). Obviously select the new save and you're sweet![]()
Just bought the game, didn't know that the ultimate edition dlc isn't working... Major bummer. Hopefully they fix it soon and give people who paid for the ultimate edition something to make up for the issues.
So theres no way to delete the cloud saves then??....that needs to be added to the Windows 10 Store then!!
I got access to the ultimate edition cars by logging out of the windows store and then logging back in. Next time I launched the game it gave me the loyalty cars I was eligible for and I am able to purchase the VIP cars through the auto show under DLC cars. I'm not sure how to tell if any of the other stuff is working.

Try this.
Windows settings (not control panel), Apps & Features - click on Forza Horizon 3 - click Advanced Options - Reset.
Does your primary drive have 50gb+ (ideally 60+) of free space? If not, try cleaning up and try again. There aren't any workarounds to thw windows store downloads right? For the 3rd time my download resets out of blue half way through. Having poor connection doesn't help but its painfull as hell![]()
Steam is the same, annoyingly. So theres no way to delete the cloud saves then??....that needs to be added to the Windows 10 Store then!!
Well shit, just tried to play again and it ran like shit this time. Drops down into the 30s with tons of stuttering/hitching making it unplayable.![]()
It was raining, but I was just in the area near the starting festival, and I did rainy race event earlier with no problems. So no idea was the issue is now.
EDIT: Running fine again after restart. Though it wasn't raining in game when I reloaded so not sure if it was the restart or change in game state or what.
APEX is exactly the same. Starts to stutter after an extended period which is fixed by rebooting.Still no idea what caused the random issues. Had hardly any drops after the reset, including in Surfers' Paradise and and rain. Odd.

The store will occupy the downloaded space on your main drive even if you select another one to install. Atleast that's the case on the two PCs I did the preload on + a few other people from GAF and elsewhere.
Maybe some day Microsoft will achieve the seemingly insurmountable task of launching a PC game in an acceptable state.

This way you can overwrite the cloud save with your local one. But yeah there should be an option to manage cloud saves.

Pack it up guys, Kotaku say it runs fine*
* Not holding 60fps on a 1080 at 1080p
This is crazy, I tested my fps on the same spot with different settings.
1440p nearly everything on High, some settings on Ultra: 41fps
720p! everything on the lowest! settings: 41fps....
Something is really wrong with this game![]()
My FPS seems to tank the longer I play but I think I found a pretty easy fix for it. It's worked three times in a row now. I normally play with an unlocked framerate with vsync off but if I switch to 30 FPS with vsync on and then switch back to an unlocked framerate with vsync off my performance goes back to normal. "Normal" still isn't good but I'll take 40-60 with frequent stutters over 30-50 with frequent stutters.
It'd be cool if this isn't just a fluke and it helps other people but I can't promise anything lol.
Well I'm sure it does run fine for him..people are having very varied experiences.

I don't think there is a way to do proper DSR/VSR downsampling in UWP apps due to them being only borderless windowed. If you are lucky you will get the option to select one of your DSR/VSR resolutions but it will scale it down and look worse than native 1080p.How can I set the resolution to 4K to then downsample to 1080P?

There are two ways, both seem to get the same result for IQ.
1. Just set the DSR resolution like any other game, UWP seems to handle downscaling itself now.
2. Set your desktop res to the DSR res and any borderless game including UWPs will also be high res.
