Fox News loves BioShock Infinite

When "Fox & Friends" recently unveiled a new logo for its segments on immigration, many gamers in the audience noticed something familiar. They say Fox's "Defending the Homeland" image looks a lot like the logo for the game "BioShock Infinite."

Call me a crazy right-winger if old.

I'd love to think this is the result of a guerrilla graphic designer at Fox, throwing not so subtle comparisons between their segment on immigration and how it's awful and the "utopia" of columbia in the game.

This is amazing by the way.

I remember when Infinite's logo was first unveiled someone predicted that Fox News would co-opt it in some way.

They were joking. :-/

The amount of people, and the TYPE of people, unironically aligning themselves with Bioshock Infinite and its racist bigotry is incredibly worrying. They do know it's a fictional reimagining of history designed for the backdrop of a videogame (and in its own context is something to be reviled) right? ...Right?!

I honestly just looked at the picture and asumed the "Defending the homeland" thing was a sign in Bioshock. Is this real? What the fuck

A parallel Comstock jumped into our universe via a tear, shaved, developed an Australian accent and started an enormous multi-national media company.

As a future immigrant to the USA, I should be offended by the "defend the homeland" slogan. But I know they're not talking about me because I'm white.

:/

No. They really take exception to illegal immigration, which is far different than gender or racial profiling. There's probably some idiot on the network who's said otherwise, but the immigration process for many people works well (and Fox News acknowledges this).

Illegal immigration though.... man. Ignoring the ethical and moral necessity to help those less fortunate strictly on principle and capitalistic viewpoints is a place I'd never want to visit.

What would they be talking about that calls for a segment called "Defending the Homeland"?

Did the Russians invade and Fox News has the exclusive or something?
