Damn, that was cool. I'd pay lots of money to see the whole series done this way.

There should be some leaking out of Comic Con in the next few days. Hopefully AMC will host it online, too.D4Danger said:when can we expect some footage?

It's Friday.gdt5016 said:Yeah, these are the pics from the 75th issue. Awesome stuff.
And yeah, S2 is a foregone conclusion, I think. Especially since AMC fully owns the show.
:O

Borman said:Still, stranger things have happened, with some good shows only getting a half hour at a time. I figured it was an hour, but its the TV business.
Hung?gdt5016 said:Only half hour drama I can think of off the top of my head is In Treatment.
Cornballer said:Hung?
True - not strictly a drama.gdt5016 said:Eh, that fits the dramedy (Californication, Entourage, Weeds, etc) mold, I think.

AMC announced that Michael Rooker ("Jumper") and Norman Reedus ("The Boondock Saints") have been added to the cast of its eagerly anticipated fall series "The Walking Dead."
Additional new cast members: Andrew Rothenberg (Jim), Juan Pareja (Morales), Iron E. Singleton (T-Dog), Jeryl Prescott Sales (Jacqui), Melissa McBride (Carol) and Adam Minarovich (Ed); all of whom are members of the survivors camp.
LCfiner said:Michael Rooker should be in everything.
Man, AMC is tearing it up. can't wait for this show. I was LTTP with the comics but Im up to speed now and it's so awesome.
Router said:Oh man I want Tyreese now not season 2!also hope S2 is a full 13 episodes.
Fixed.Weenerz said:Whats wrong with Lori's faaaaaaaaaaaace? The actress got all ugly. I guess her disgusting face will match her goldfish eyes.
I don't see any reason why they wouldn't make S2 a full 13. I'm just curious when they'd show it. Mad Men and Rubicon in the late Summer, BB in the Spring, and maybe TWD becomes their Fall show? Depends on the shooting schedule and how they want to market everything, I guess.gdt5016 said:I would imagine S2 will be. A number of shows have had short first seasons in recent years. I wouldn't worry about it.

Basic cable has fewer content restrictions than broadcast, but there are still some. What have you run into in terms of the gore?
None. Surprisingly, none. Were not finding that were having to pull our punches in what were shooting, which is a tremendous pleasure.
Our biggest drawback is that we cant say fuck. Im allowed other swear words. Theres a limit to how many, but you know what? Its an interesting discipline. Its like defaulting to a certain pair of cargo pants every day when you get dressed; you wind up relying too much on that kind of language as a writer. When youre forced to be very choosy, its actually a fantastic exercise. Its a great discipline. Im finding Im coming in under the word count of what Im allowed. Its forcing me to write more artfully. And its kind of cool that way. Its not just the default mechanism of saying shit in every sentence. I can say it four times if I want to, and that winds up being interesting.

shagg_187 said:Yeah I had a feeling this major change would happen since every TV show needs this at some point. As long as the event takes place, I have no problem with it.
LocoMrPollock said:Yeah, I kind of figured they would do that. My bet is they'll drag it out for the 6 episodes and then it will end on that note.
