Haven't seen one yet.

So how far was this supposed to cover?

If it lasts long enough to
cover the prison arc
, I'd be happy with it.
Minor book spoilers:
The first season is 6 episodes, and I think it's supposed to more or less cover the first TPB. Darabont seems reluctant to reveal exactly when they're ending it because he doesn't want to spoil anything.

Season 2, which is more or less confirmed, will have them reaching the prison towards the back end of the 13 episodes.

What? do you mean the end of the first episode?

Edit:
Well, after watching the trailer there does seem to be a lot more stuff. Does he not meet up with the cast in the first season or something?
Aye, you are right. First episode.

It really doesn't bother me but I can't help notice that the cop, when he gets shot, his right shoulder flinches but when he's on the ground, his left shoulder is stained with blood.

Am I missing something here?

Probably reversed in editing, someone missed it.

Like the young-Ben-gets-shot scene in LOST.

I'm not that knowledgeable in video editing. Would the location of the sheriff's star be any different in that regard? It appears to be on his left shoulder as he flinches and when he is on the ground with the blood on his shirt.

Been completely avoiding this thread as I'm still way behind on the comic, but goddam the trailer is pretty good. Got very high hopes for this. Fuckin love AMC

Half the people I showed this too at first said "That looks like a really cool movie" then I tell them its an ongoing AMC TV series. That will be following in the footsteps of mad men and breaking bad. Then they say "no way, thats a tv show" then I tell them its based off a comic book series, and I have a #1 issue. Which is probably gonna go up in value now!

That opening shoot-out scene in the trailer was awful :lol

Gods I hope the action isn't that weak looking in the full series; it'll really ruin it. This was (still is) my concern about a non-pay network making a show like this.

Still, the atmosphere stuff they showed later on looked great.

I fapped like 30 times! Can't wait.

Meh, it's not really an action-based story. More character driven than anything else really.

Awesome trailer! Can't wait for the first episode.

I'm slowly making my way through the graphic novel. I bought the first "compendium" a couple months ago and am finally getting around to reading it. I loving the atmosphere and how emotive it can be at times. I haven't read any comics outside of the traditional super-hero genre, so this graphic novel is a step in a different direction from what I'm used to.

Hospital scene is too much like 28 Days Later.

EDIT: Finished watching, looks like a quality show. Lots of headshots.

While true, I think the comic came out before 28 Days Later. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: Nope, incorrect. It's a few months after. It's not unfeasible to thing that Kirkman had written the first issue before the movie came out though.

Doesn't matter, there's going to be more action in this series than most TV shows, so it better be good. I'll be annoyed if all the violence is off screen or poorly done with only the aftermath shots being any good. I'll probably still watch if that's the case, but won't by the BR.

I read the comic a few months ago and I'm not excited at all about that tv series. I already know exactly what will happen, frame by frame, for at least 5 seasons.

Anyone else feeling like me ?

Awesome trailer. Love the comic. Wish my wife weren't a wuss so I could watch this show. =(

You can't watch a show without her?

Do you? Because there have already been several characters added that weren't in the comics.

They're not going to be strictly adhering to the comics. Darabont said the main framework of the story will be the same, but they'll be adding and subtracting things as they see fit.

Wow. HOLY FUCK! Bear McCreary is doing the music?? How did i miss that news? This is seriously my dream show right here.

Could not be more psyched for it.

Holy shit hype. Ack, hope it's not on too late though. I'm kinda planning on doing stuff...
They must be rerunning the premiere a bunch (which is pretty typical for AMC) because you have to figure a lot of people are out Halloween night either going to parties or taking their kids trick-or-treating.

Pretty much the 1st edition of the comic, is right out of 28 days later. Released like 4 months after the 1st movie.

Yup. Like I said, it's almost certain Kirkman had written the first issue before the movie came out.

No big deal, though.

Yeah, I mean, once they get past the first 5 or 6 issues, it becomes it's own "thing". Though, it does become more or less a "group of characters surviving together" kind of thing, which is like a major rule in all things Zombie-Related.

Feb seems to confirm it'll start in Oct next year again. Maybe a little bit early/late seeing as AMC will have to shift schedules a bit because of BB's late start.

It will be very interesting to see how AMC sorts out their schedule for next year with BB shifting to later and all the newer series now in the mix.
