Man, so many people hating on maple moose. It's one of the best flavors ive ever had :(

Have you ever thought about a career in scat porn? If you can cunsume those chips you can eat anything.

What happened to lays ketchup chips? Seems like when these pre filled vomit bags came out some normal flavors vanished.

We warned you that maple was a very smokey flavor. That's what I love about it. A maple campfire. It would go so well with whisky.

Got bags of the parmesan caesar and grilled cheese/ketchup. Still haven't seen the perogy one anywhere.

The parmesan one is pretty plain. It's not bad, but there's nothing interesting enough there to get me to buy it again.

Grilled cheese is...interesting. It's not as awful as I expected given some of the comments so far but it has an unpleasant fake cheese taste. Other than that it's edible.

Least favourite is tied between the grilled cheese and moose. The maple moose one would be a lot better if it wasn't so strongly flavoured with smoke, it overpowers everything else.

Maple Moose has won:

Up north in Canada, Lay's recently wrapped up the Canadian version of their "Do Us a Flavor" contest where fans were invited to submit their flavor ideas for Lay's potato chips for a chance to have it made as well as for a cash prize.

The winner? The oddly named "Maple Moose." The name is actually not a joke and combines maple with a beef-like flavor according to Serious Eats. The flavor won out over Creamy Garlic Caesar, Grilled Cheese & Ketchup, and Perogy Platter

Lay's Canada Facebook fans are in a bit of an uproar according to the comments being left there (but it might just be sour grapes).

The flavor will be re-released in Canada starting late November and the winner, Tyler LeFrense, will pocket $50,000 CAN plus 1% of future Lay's Maple Moose sales.

I'm actually a bit disappointed, those ones mostly just tasted like bbq to me, only with more smoke flavour.

Would have preferred the perogy but I guess they were on the normal side.
