GAF Steamgifts Group Invite Thread

If you're a member of the Steam GAF group then you can enter for a chance to win a copy of Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943. I have three keys available. It's ending in like an hour so be sure to enter if you don't have the game, currently 0 entries.
It'll be on the first page as long as you're in the Steam group.

Entered, thanks mate.

I can't even join SteamGifts because my library isn't worth at least $100, which is a condition you have to meet to even register.

Throw in a few indie bundles, too.

Games that are not in a bundle :

----Didn't spend 1 cent in it :
Team Fortress 2 (free)
Spiral Knights (free)
Source Filmmaker (free)
Age of Empires Online (free)
Portal 1 (got when was free)
Left 4 Dead 2 (got on the coal gift thing)
Counter-Strike: Source (also on the coal gift thing)
HL2 and related stuff (also coal)
Terraria (my only steamgift won)
The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition (birthday gift)
Trine 1 and 2 (birthday gift)
Dungeons of Dredmor (gaf giveaway)
Sequence ("every gaffer will won this")

----Free and only got for the coals :
CrimeCraft GangWars
Rise of the Immortals
Rusty Hears

----Games I actualy payed:
Portal 2
Dustforce
And Meat Boy ... but it is right now on a bundle that I have =P

I am just beaming right now. I've never won anything in my life but I've entered only 388 giveaways and won Darksiders and Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. The first one was out of 591 so that was a much higher chance on that one, but this CoR one has over 2200!

The value on your steamgifts account indicates the value of the games you made giveaways for. You can see your games library value on this site if you'd like.

I've got an extra copy of From Dust.

I won! Thanks again RotBot!

Games that are free showing up as $49.99 like GTA and GTA 2 since its displaying GTA Complete Pack's price. Fear expansions are also listed at $49.99 each. It gives a good idea how much I spent on Steam lol.

This site gives you a more accurate picture, as it knows about bundles. It also tells you how much you would have spent if you had gotten every game at their lowest sale price. I think more people paid an amount closer to that than the sum of the list prices.

You own 83 games worth: $794.27 USD - What does this number mean?
If you bought all these games on sale it would have cost: $269.03 USD
You spend an average of $9.57 USD ($3.24 USD) per game.

Muahahaha, I've spent far less than $269 on my Steam games, I'm sure. :P

I already own most of those games you entered for and don't want the rest. I am currently mostly going for big titles, if you hadn't noticed. A dozen or so giveaways I entered from the day before had closed before I took that pic... including one for SSF4 :(

COME ON, SLEEPING DOGS!

COME ON, SLEEPING DOGS!

Yeah .. i'm a sucker for indies =/

Also, my biggest regret is the pixel bundle in steam with rush, edge and others ... I already have the bit.trip because of the bundles (and the wii dvd .. and some wiiware ..) but the other ones I smell like a tigger hunting and atack at steamgifts

I hope I win Starvoid. I didn't win Dwarfs and this looks way cooler, maybe the best format for a strategy game considering my common complaints with the genre. Looks like it will be a 1:18 or so chance.

Edit: I didn't win. :(

So if I want to make some giveaways for GAF is it best to use the Steam group or just make a hidden url and share it in this thread? Whats the usual thing to do?

Yeah but the group is open on Steam right. So people can join it without ever seeing this thread or using GAF at all.

Yea. If you want to, just post your giveaway as a private and post it in the "Free to a good home" thread. Don't think many come to this thread.

The latter is the common practice around here, but you can easily do both things: you can post a hidden URL here *and* limit the access to those who are in the NeoGAF group on Steam.

I'm giving away 2 copies of...

Quote to reveal:

Think of it as MOBA insofar as you have bases and heroes, but more like Dawn of War in how you play, and then the online structure is more like FPS games where you can drop in and out of matches with no penalty. I'm trying to spread the love because I think the RTS genre desperately needs to open up to more casual styles of play. Here is the OT for the game.
