Game Informer cover coming today, 20 pages long

Sony VR?

20 pages, it would have to be something huge.

How much can they talk about Halo, or Elder Scrolls or Half Life 3 even. VR could at least have developer feedback, information about support games, compatible platforms etc etc.

If a game like Murdered managed to get a cover of Game Informer with 20 pages dedicated it would mean one of two things: Fall 2014 is going to be worse than anyone imagined or some big publisher bought the game and it's going all in.

AC V seems like the logical guess but it would also be a great time to do the reveal of the Batman game for next-gen from Rocksteady or Watch_Dogs re-reveal.

they did a huge thing with skyrim

Its likely,, but a lot more exciting if something else. I feel they kind of overflowed us with Watchdogs information

I am not sure. I feel like other than the typical Ubisoft open world trailers they showed, we still know nothing about the game. Who is Aiden Pearce? What is his backstory and what is the story of the game in general?

Ah, I have it!

Witcher 3!

It's got to be it! Coming out a week earlier! Hopefully we'll know system requirements as well'

Already had a cover...

Half-Life 3 would DEFINATELY warrant 20 pages and a week early... but I don't think that's going to be it.

I'm going to edge my bets on Watch_Dogs. Either there's a complete media blowout coming OR a rebranding of some sort. Considering how much people were talking about it when it was originally shown, I'm surprised it hasn't had a GI cover yet.

South Park? Dark Souls 2? It's almost ready to release anyway. Has it had a cover?

Whatever it is, it must already have a specific release date (not Q1, Q2, Sprin etc) so they can claim it releases one week early.

Don't you want like... a new Halo? o.o
I've only played 3, ODST, and online Reach so I dunno.

Halo 2 Anniversary sounds good.
And 343 if they can ace the H2A feel i can give them benefit of the doubt they might ace Halo 5 at least there are rumors of an beta so that is a good sign.

I agree with Watch Dogs. That would be a good way to reintroduce the game. They also still haven't announced Far Cry 4, but I think they will wait till E3 to announce that one. Is there still more DLC to come for Arkham Orgins? If so, it would make sense to wait until that is out before they announce the Rocksteady game.

There are also other games like The Evil Within, Wolfenstein and Murdered Soul Suspect. But I don't think any of those have enough material to fill a 20 pages cover story.

I feel like the only reason we didn't see an FC3 next-gen port is that FC4 is a 2014 game. I'm not sure it'll be another E3 surprise, as FC3 was that. They also have been candid about wanting the series to release iterations more frequently.

You might be on to something.

It's not 343 that's doing H2A , isn't it the same guys that did Halo Anniversary ?

Im curious to know which one will come first: FC4 or RB6 Patriots

We have no idea. H2A might not even exist.

But yeah, people are assuming it is Saber Interactive and Certain Affinity jointly working on H2A and H3/H4 ports.

I don't really know GameInformer, Europeasant and all that, but would it be so weird if they had a cover of a game twice? If it's been suitably long ago, a twenty page spread would warrant putting the game on the cover again, wouldn't it?
In any case, the way game PR works, a twenty page spread has to be on a game that is far along in development (otherwise they'd do teasers of teasers) and quite likely an open world component so they can talk about all the little details without spoiling the entire game.

I'm going with Infamous or Watch_Dogs. Possibly The Order to coincide with the 40min video that the press is seeing today.

before the skyrim reveal andy said this
that the cover is one that "you have been begging for 4ever." ....
and that was very long 20 pages or so

my bet fallout 4

Looking up the covers we already had seems to be quite a challenge for some of you guys.

Maybe this helps:

The naive little gamer in me hopes it something we haven't heard of. A massive reveal that gamers on every platform will love. A brand new property for a brand new generation of consoles. Maybe a new classic in the vein of the original Banjo Kazooie, or maybe something we simply have never seen before.

The realist in me believes it'll be a write up of the new Halo for Xbox One. With the console failing to keep steam with the Playstation 4 in virtually every market, and its unflinching focus on TV seemingly already spent, Microsoft need to get momentum rolling yesterday on its exclusives. We'll see the game and the TV show, and a big focus will be on how the two connect.

The cynic in me believes its just the next Call of Duty. Because what the fuck else are they going to drop 20 mother fucking pages on if not this years guaranteed biggest seller.

So they really only do covers once? Would seem there's not enough big budget games. heh.

Max Payne 3 had a GI cover about three years prior to release, and didn't get a second.

I think you'd have to be GTAVI or Half-Life 3 to break that pattern.
