Game soundtracks on vinyl | Analogue Gen 33fps

25 years? Fuck, I feel old. Also, I don't believe that SCIV came out on Halloween in 1991, so I call bullshit on Wikipedia's date. I remember checking multiple game and toy stores every week and being a nag about it. It wasn't available where I lived (NJ) until December.

October 31 was the JP release

Speaking of Laced and NMS. I just got a package that looks suspiciously like a 4xLP aka my cancelled order.

Yeah, so they refunded me.

Welp.

Hnnnggggg those 2 bonus discs. Soon.

Alsp anyone know if fez is actually getting a repress? Really annoyed I passed on it at the time because of reasons.
Since the extra two don't have to accommodate for nearly as much bass, they sound extra great.

Here's a comment someone just left on discogs regarding FEZ:

I had the pleasure of briefly meeting Disasterpeace last night at a live scoring of It Follows. I gave him my copy of this to sign; he'd never even seen [the vinyl] in the flesh before, he doesn't have a copy! I guess that means I have the only signed one in the world! He said that a repress will eventually be happening...
That's some sad shit if true.

Yeah, so they refunded me.

Had this happen with Battlefield One. Cancelled my preorder, green man gaming still sent me a code. Made me happy since I don't really like the game.

I don't know much about that turntable, but it usually goes for $300 so it sure looks like a good deal!

Hah this is why I'm asking. I mean, pricewise yeah it looks great. But if the turntable is shit I don't want it. People here tend to know their stuff so hopefully someone's able to shed some light

Yeah, I don't know much about this table, but it does have a counterweight, and seems to have sturdy build quality so already you are MILES ahead of a Crosley.

Seems like it's not too bad. Just keep in mind that with direct drive turntables, the buffer you have with a belt-driven one somewhat "smoothing" any motor inconsistencies in speed (very minor ones, obviously) won't happen with a DD.

But if it's a good quality DD, then there should be very little to worry about :)

Edit: I just found this impression of it:
My impression, having seen and used one, is that the CP-1050 is essentially an Audio-Technica LP120 wearing 1970s business casual attire. You're paying an extra $250 for that. Functionally you're getting less (no arm height adjustment, no 78 speed, etc). In terms of quality I don't see any difference between them at all. (CNET loves the LP120, too.)
I know people here recommend the LP120, but I don't know what the price difference is between that and the Onkyo. The latter is a reputable brand, though.

Any word on when Lagrange Point is shipping? I seem to remember there was talk of it going out in October, but that obviously didn't happen. No updates on Ship to Shore's twitter feed...
