MGS2 - TGS 2001 Trailer - Before we knew about the Raiden bait-and-switch and all of the other zaniness that MGS2 would bring to the table, all we had was pure, unbridled hype for the sequel to one of the best games to ever grace a Sony console. In the final year of MGS2's development, Kojima and his team went incognito and kept the flow of new information to a minimum. The only time eager fans would get a new look at the upcoming game was in the form of trailers, which were all directed by Kojima with a flair never before seen in game trailers. People take it for granted now, but Kojima put game trailers on the map, and he continues to live up to that reputation today. Anyway, this was the last major trailer to hit before the game released in November of the same year, and I still get chills watching it to this day. I remember being late for school the morning that this finished downloading on my dad's old 56k connection because I had to watch it several times, pouring over every little detail. The moment where Snake jumps after Ray timed with the swelling music particularly impressed me at the time. Every MGS game has had incredible trailers over the years, but I have to give this one top honors.

Runner-up: God of War 3 - Official Teaser Trailer - God of War fans already had a lot to look forward to for the third and final game in the trilogy, especially considering how the second game ended with the Titans climbing Mt. Olympus for a climactic battle for the ages. While the Titan climbing action never ended up being quite as dynamic in the final product as it was in this early trailer, this video did a fantastic job setting the stage for what was to come. I was frothing at the mouth in anticipation for GoW3 after having seen this trailer.

The Valiant Hearts trailer in the OP is probably the most affecting game trailer I've seen, that I can think of at least. I can't think of any others, honestly. I mean, there are a ton of awesome trailers that got me crazy excited or played hard to deep-rooted nostalgia, but this trailer was the only one that I can think of that actually elicited an emotion from me, or at least that kind of emotion.
