You can't do that in any FPS on a console/PC I can think of. It sounds sort of impossible, because how will the camera be effected by this? It wouldn't work unless the game will fully 3D. Visors and such...

3d Visors?

Believe.

Only kidding, of course

Edit: By the way, I just realized I spend too much time on these forums. Espeically since I'm an American student studying in Spain. Shouldn't I be getting drunk or something? lols. This industry is just too exciting to me for me to not stalk it.

Some of the best sangria can be found there. Go get drunk. :)

Haha thanks for the advice. I don't know. I just am not the partying type. I can do it, but its only fun for me when I'm with friends. And I know no one here. So I can go to bars with people I've met, but I don't necessarily have fun drinking with those peeps. I would prefer just to chat with them. Anyway, /end life rant.

Understandable. I actually don't drink alcohol, as a rule. But REALLY good sangria makes for a very rare exception for me. And Spain has, on the whole, REALLY good sangria just about everywhere. I was suggesting it for the flavor, not the after-effects. Good enough to get even a non-drinker to have it... occasionally!

Red Steel should have fucking sangria.

Thats what Nintendo needs for the revolution, a drink mixing game.

Edit: you could be a bartender, and you'd have to make drinks for the customers, the quicker the better. Difficulty increases as more people come in and ask for drinks. Points are represented by tips. Bonus points for flaring.

Edit edit: Hell, I really want this game now. Ill learn to make the damn game myself if I have to. Someone order me a rev dev kit^^

Seriously, I would die to have two revmotes be used for dual-wielding and get to play out the Last Man Standing shootout from Season 1 of 24!!! :lol

Hot damn! My interest in the Rev is now greater than for any other system ever. I'm so torn between the Rev and PS3, it hurts. :lol

Thanks to Matt for posting those specs and making me lose all interest in it. And thanks to GI/Ubisoft for showing this and getting those juices flowing again!

Viva la Revolution!!

Haha. My friend. I would just wait until all the cards are on the table before making your decision. There won't be any games like this from Sony in launch window, although I expect Sony to copy the revmote. But Sony will have its own strengths I'm sure.

Buy a Rev, wait 2 years, buy a PSthree.

Why couldn't one gun simply be configured as the 'master'? That one would control camera movement while the other would be confined to shooting within your current vantage point?

An alternative, assuming both 'guns' have two buttons easily assessable while playing, would be to have a toggle button along with the trigger. Clicking the toggle would have it take over as your camera.

Probably the easiest solution would be to simply move one of your ‘guns’ offscreen – at that point, it would automatically take over as camera, and basically start moving you in your intended direction.. That would be the most realistic I would think.

There are lots of possibilities.

There's really no need for any of this overcomplication. Assuming that you are not playing as a two-headed character, a gunman can only look in one direction anyway. The only use for two revmote gunplay would be in a game with mandatory surround sound where you could fire, say, over your shoulder at sound cues behind you, like Bruce Campbell does to the "she-bitch" in Army of Darkness, or crossing your arms and firing to the sides like the Italian guy in Boondock Saints. He doesn't somehow look at both his targets simultaneously, he just knows that they are there and fires.

EDIT: This only applies to games that involve player-controlled movement. Obviously, using two guns in an on-rails shooter would be fun and easy.

Also I hope Nintendo chooses wisely and includes 2 revmotes with the console. The options that it could open up with developers would double. Id love to play games utilising both controllers...someting that won't happen if they dont include two as standard.

Thanks Phoenix for the info.

This game sounds remarkably awesome. If the further reports are as glowing, this is going on my must-buy launch lineup.

Right now, I absolutely cannot wait until E3...

I agree, even if only for Punch-Out!! :D

I honestly feel this is the revolution in gaming I've been waiting for. Once I saw the Rev DPD I found it hard to take 360 or PS3 seriously. I admit I was a bit disappointed with how GameCube was handled, but hey, we all make mistakes. It appears Nintendo's learned a lot from not only their mistakes, but Sony's successes with PS2. This is just one game though, many many more are coming and I can't wait.

This makes up nicely for the failed Capcom exclusive 5 :P

Sounds like a plan to me.

I've always said that we should give Iwata the benefit of the doubt. He came into the leadership position finishing off Yamauchi's vision for Nintendo. This is Iwata's vision for the company.

Absolutely 100% agreed! They must include 2 revmotes. Period.

Something that bothers me from the summary that PhoenixDark posted, though. Harrison talks about mass market price. Reggie says it'll be less than $300. The question is: Did Sony make $299 for the PS1/PS2 launch a mass market price?

Actually, the quote is perfectly PR in ambiguity; a mass market price could mean the same as PS3 and 360 since they're perceived as being 'mass market' or it could that they're trying to appeal to the none gamers and going for a cheaper price. I hope the latter.

I'd rather have 1 revmote w/ analog attachment than 2 revmotes w/o attachments.

I've been thinking about the kiosk, I think it would be in Nintendo's best interest to have a Nintendo rep on site at many EB's and Gamestops to help guide potential gamers in to understanding the control scheme for most titles. Or in commercials, as the game is being shown, the gamer is shown playing giving the audience visual of how to play using a revmote.

Oh, and this game has made me even more curious as to what the guys from Pandemic/Bioware saw behind closed doors at GDC.

I don't think Nintendo will have enough reps, unless they plan on having kiosks in LA and NY alone. They can always just have one of those helpful plaques on the kiosk explaining how to use the waggle wand.

Dual wielding could still be done with one revmote. It would just control both guns. Boths guns would shoot at the same time all the time since there's only one trigger button under the revmote.

Analog unit=controls movement, jumping, ducking
Revmote=aim for both guns
meh.

the real appeal of dual wielding on the rev would be aiming the guns independtly of each other. how you'd actually your character with that control setup i have no idea however.

Do you know how expensive this would be? Video/animated tutorials will be fine.

I'm starting to wonder how Nintendo will have their E3 booth set up, and if it will reflect some of their marketing plans. Will Nintendo have chairs set up at E3 lol? Like have some very comfortable chairs, and maybe some beautiful women from Nintendo of South America to help you get seated.

You really feel the need to milk that Brazil thread for some cheap pops, don't you? :lol

No booth babes this year :(

well they have said (in numerous interviews) that if they could find a way they'd prefer they'd like to have the audience experience the game during their presentations. not that it's actually possible to have a few hundred people playing one the same screen simultaneously.

I'm dead serious. I suppose Japanese women could be there too for affirmative action purposes.

They wouldn't really be boothbabes. They'd just help you sit down and show you how the revmote's rumble pack works..

Chairs would likely be a rather inviting thing at a conference, which is exactly why Nintendo probably won't have them, as it could lead to loitering when there are still a bunch of people who haven't played the Revolution yet.

Who wants tutorials or videos? Learning all of the different actions you can perform in a game will probably be half the fun! lol
"I notice that you have cut off your own hand. Don't do that again. I fear your wife is all but lost. If only LiquidMamba had approved of a superior tutorial."

*GONG*

I forgot to add one more detail about the game:

The article says that you start off in LA, and later in the game you travel to Japan. So I'm thinking the brutal action will happen in LA, and by the time you get to Japan you'll be more of a precise warrior.

Well, they did say that the attachments were cheap to manufacture and that they could be included with the games that would require them. The real cost is the revmote itself.

But, what I meant was, two revmotes with an analog attachment for both.
