Oh I see, damn, READING COMPREHENSION FTL!!!!! :D :D

of course, that still doesn't mean that it looks bad, and as was noted more than once.. they don't have final kits yet and there are 6+ months before launch.

I you look at the scans under an electron microscope, you'll notice that one of the characters' shadows is rounded to 38 degrees when it clearly should be rounded to 47 degrees. What were they thinking?

And, if you look closely at the far, far corner of the room, you'll find that the texture is slightly blurred, as if they're trying to cover up the fact that they didn't properly render the dust settling in the cracks. Clearly, the Revolution doesn't render dust settling as well as the 360. This is a travesty!!

Let's discuss this for the next 23 pages.

I love 61 page Revolution speculation / news threads. They are teh sex.

Okay SOMEONE please give me a unique version of this avatar with the crown on it. I can't make avatars and I can't stand having the same exact avatar as everyone else as it is hard to find my posts to make sure they aren't dumbcake. Thx. I woudl love you.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say Ubi doctored the screens a tad to make it look comparable to what the final dev kits are capable of; while it's been said to look looks slightly worse in motion compared to the current screens, I've been told not to worry much about the finished product's appearance.

I hope they decide to add detailed shadows for the characters while they're at it :D

As for my comments about those screens being touched-up, I don’t know whether Game Informer did it or Ubisoft, but the game looks noticeably different in motion.

Phillip

who are you and how did you get to see the game in motion?

can we assume an over/under 100 page thread when Mario Revolution is unveiled? take bets?

I think that once you factor in the panda pics to counter the inevitable trolling, we may be looking at a broken record with that one.

nice find, but why the hell is the controller gray...

It's just the newest working prototype, it's not final yet.

And, the media rarely gets super shiny finished stuff. They get industrial shit.

P.S. Holy shit it's way smaller than I thought, and I knew it was "small".

Those pics look cool.

Eh, screw the graphics man. C'mon guys. The Rev just looks damn fun. New kinds of fun. New experiences.

And really, isn't that what gaming is about?

(With that said, I want it noted that just becuase I like the controller/system, and I have my kickass avatar... I'm not a fanboy in the literal sense, I always avoid system preference arguments, and I'll be getting a PS3 on day one :) - obligatory safety net out of the way )

We'll see if the gameplay lives up tot he possibilities. From the impressions from that mag I think it will. But I need more impressions from E3.

ON ANOTHER F'ING NOTE, I JUST FIXED MY INTERNET CONNECTION IN SPAIN THAT HAS BEEN ANNOYING ME FOR MORE THAN A MONTH. I ALMOST HAD A MENTAL BREAKDOWN OVER THIS AND NOW I CAN STALK GAF WITH A FAST CONNECTION!!!!!11111

Indeed.

I know...different era and all...but if it were all about visuals and superior technology, the Master System would have wiped the floor with the NES everywhere.

ok, not everyone carries around their GBMicro in a ankle gun holster... we have limits!

i wasn't even talking about that. im talking about people that are some what ashamed, or embarrassed to play games in public. if they can't handle that, something tells me they won't be able to handle even playing rev games alone. they'll just feel too lame or something.

Not that *I* would ever do it, but in one pic they show a guy manipulating the analog stick with his index finger. The whole set-up looks real comfy, I could totally see my brothers getting into this especially if there's an NFL game that takes full advantage (and there will be). Real ergonomic, I could see holding the analog attachment a variety of way's in either hand, which is good for lefties like my brother Dennis, who would probably prefer to have the "pointer" in his left hand.

I still think it would be bomb-ass to have Nintendo's pre-E3 conference have a demonstation from 4 oddball non-gamers:
-one-armed man
-left-handed man
-old woman with artheritis
-child with ADD
