Games that no one asked for (good or bad)

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Seriously, the original trilogy filled the canvass of that universe enough. The way they've had to completely avoid even entering the same locations as that trilogy makes the whole thing feel like a new canvass is being stapled on to the side.

Also from Bioware, when people wanted a 3rd game for the Knights of the Old Republic saga, they sure as hell weren't asking for it to be an MMO.

Any of the 'simulator' games or games that rely on intentionally broken physics:

Surgeon Simulator
Goat Simulator
Shower with your Dad Simulator
Octodad
I am Bread

Whether they're good or bad is largely up to the player's mood, but they're all so inexpensive that getting an hour or two wacky fun is enough.

On the other hand, both Space Team and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes are both actually well designed as real games about cooperative communication that don't exclusively rely exclusively on a goofy premise or broken physics. They're both wonderfully novel concepts that I doubt anyone had asked for.

Hyrule Warriors. Not a fan of musou games, and I'm not too keen on Dynasty Warriors with a Zelda design focus. The only reason I own it is because it was given to me as a gift, and I did have fun with it for a bit but it got really repetitive really fast for me.

Dragon Quest Builders: DQ+Minecraft? Interesting recipe.

Persona 4 Dancing All Night: Theathrhythm Persona, before all those JRPG series that need a rhythm spinoff.

The more pressing question is "why didn't I think to ask for a Detective Pikachu?"
