Legend of Dragoon is a qualifier from what I remember. Hell, I remember the guide having a turn by turn breakdown of what to do to try and avoid getting stomped.

Actually there was an obscure optional boss (Faust) that required some bullshit to even fight him and some required equipment for even damaging him, because he's immune to all damage. Even when you use the item to damage him you hit like a wet noodle so it's a chore.

The last boss was hard, that's true, and long, very long, but he was a puppy compared to Faust
