Games You've Beaten in August

The Binding of Isaac
Ether Vapor Remaster
Borderlands 2 DLC Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty
GRID
Bionic Commando Rearmed
Chains
Sleeping Dogs DLC Nightmare in North Point
Sleeping Dogs DLC Year of the Snake

Detailed:

47. The Binding of Isaac (Steam, 2013/08/11)

It only took me two years to beat this game, but after 30+ hours I finally had a great run and kicked Mom's buttocks.

48. Ether Vapor Remaster (Steam, 2013/08/18)

Pretty, but almost too cinematic for its own good, very poor bullet visibility at times, bad design for a SHMUP.

49. Borderlands 2 DLC 1 (Steam, 2013/08/18)

"Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty", complete 4P co-op. Rough start, but toward the end the team dynamic snapped into place. The DLC was really well done. I liked the completely new location, very big and fleshed out, more quirky characters and the signature political incorrectness. Fun times, can't wait to see the remaining DLC.

50. GRID (Steam, 2013/08/24)

Picked it up as an extended demo for GRID2 and only paid like three or four quid for the game. Ended up loving its racing model, physics, tracks, team racing atmosphere and events so much that I completely exhausted everything: all gold, all cars and all challenges. They really hit the sweet spot of arcadey with a dash of sim, especially the drifting was top notch. Although the AI (team mate included) was really bad at times and there was nothing worth than a narrow city track, starting position 11 of 12 and only two laps to win the race. Bumper car galore, only the unlimited restarts and the rewind feature stopped me from throwing my PC out of the window. Thankfully those moments were pretty rare and only towards the end.

51. Bionic Commando Rearmed (Steam, 2013/08/25)

Great game, very polished and solid. Its soundtrack is fantastic too. But damn, that last stretch is the very definition of classic ball busting hard difficulty.

52. Chains (Steam, 2013/08/27)

Nice little puzzle game with 20 different challenges around chaining dots together with lots of physics. Surprisingly addicting, the game came as free bonus for the latest indie royale bundle, I just wanted to try it out and got instantly hooked.

53. Sleeping Dogs DLC Nightmare in North Point (Steam, 2013/08/29)

What a good time, so many 80s/90s chinese ghost story movie references. It was really more hilarious than scary to be honest, sorta in a Big Trouble in Little China kinda way. Pretty brief, only like 90 minutes, although well paced. The whole "one crazy night out" plot was spot on.

54. Sleeping Dogs DLC Year of the Snake (Steam, 2013/08/31)

Pretty dry story, also very dark, more police drama and action thriller. Missions were nicely varied in the framework of more strict and sort of by the book police work, refreshingly not so undercover and grimy as the main game.

L.A. Noire: Complete Edition
Spec Ops: The Line

I liked both. Shooting was sometimes boring in the Spec Ops but the story was cool, even though it made me feel little sick couple times.

L.A. Noire was nice because it was different, interrogation and all that stuff.

Alan Wake
Bastion
DuckTales Remastered
Fable III
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II
Thomas Was Alone
To the Moon

All for PC.
I also beat Contra (NES) for the first time without savestating, but won't count it as I still can't do it without the Konami code :D

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Assassin's Creed III
Fight Night Champion
Mass Effect 3
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit
Monkey Island 2: SE
Legend of Zelda
Mega Man X2
ilomilo
Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Curse of the Azure Bonds (PC)

Nice! Pool of Radiance was one of the first western RPGs I've ever played... could never make it terribly far in it though but I enjoyed the SRPG-ish battle system :P

Also forgot to add that I beat Penny Arcade episode 4 to my list.

Assasins creed 3 (Wii U)
Super metroid (Wii U Virtual Console)
Super mario world (Wii U Virtual console)
Ratchet and Clank Tools of destruction(PS3)
Prince of persia the forgotten sands(PS3)
Super mario bros 2(3DS Virtual Console)

First time beating Chrono Trigger ever! Amazing game 9/10

Ace Attorney 3 was simply amazing as well especially the final case!

Assassin's Creed 3
Splinter Cell Blacklist
Saints Row 4
Hitman Absolution
Vanquish
Shadow of the Colossus HD
Spec Ops: The Line
Need for Speed Most Wanted
Dmc: Devil May Cry
Sleeping Dogs

I don't think I will beat that many games in a month ever again.

it cool to just jump in?

can't see if i need to do anything else. but yeah august was hell of slow for me, ac3 really slowed me down due to it boring me, but had to finish, just took a massive effort

so yeah,

games completed in August:

Assassin's Creed 3
Spec Ops The Line

slow month and not overly enjoyable, hopefully september will be better

Kentucky Route Zero Act 1&2 - Impressive artstyle and interesting story. But not fun to actually play.

The Swapper - Pretty f*cking brilliant. Awesome artstyle, great story, challenging and fun puzzles.

August is like a new record for me recently.

Gone Home,
Brothers,
Paper Mario Sticker Star,
Pikmin 1, Pikmin 3,
Picross E,
Dragon's Crown (normal),
probably one or two more, can't think of anything.

Saint's Row the Third, Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon, and God Of War III on Titan (Hard) mode.

Fuck God of War III on Titan mode. Give me an invincible dodge and I would have wrecked that game.

The Legend of Zelda: Oracke of Ages(Linked)
SteamWorld Dig
Ace Attorney: Apollo Justice
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D(Master Quest)
