• Hey Guest. Check out your NeoGAF Wrapped 2025 results here!

Games you've spent/will spend 200+ hours on...

Picross 3D (Please make a sequel!)

Rock Band (combined),

Spelunky,

Perfect Dark (N64),

Plants vs. Zombies.

edit: Forgot about Animal Crossing (3DS), I played the shit out of that last year.

I'll probably hit 200 in Diablo 3, and I might have in WOW (I was super casual, but I played for a long time).

Games with more than 100 hrs:

Dark Souls,
Final Fantasy I, IV, VII
Super Smash Bros (64)
Super Smash Bros Melee

Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory - 3000+ hours (from 2003 till 2011)
LoL - 300 hours

I haven't played any other games more than 200 hours and I doubt that I ever will.

That I've spent:

Pokemon Blue, Gold, Sapphire, Heartgold, Platinum, Black 2.
Skyrim, Harvest Moon DS, Chrono Cross, KH2, etc.

In the future:

Fire Emblem Awakening, Pokemon ORAS and Smash 3DS probably.

Just checked my activity logs and I had nearly 200 hours in a single month with Pokemon Y. I've actually logged over 200 hours in every single mainline Pokemon game so far and I doubt that ORAS will break that trend.

World of Warcraft, have and will on the new expansion.

Pokemon, have on various games, probably won't in the future.

Smash Bros Melee, have and will likely on the new Wii U game.

Binding of Isaac, spent a bit over 100 hours on the original and likely will far exceed that with Rebirth.

Also, Halo 2 and Morrowind.

And for fun: might have spent that much time on Windows Solitaire over the years lol.

----edit---
LOL, we all forgot about one important title

TETRIS

Trackmania nations
Trackmania 2 Canyon
World of Warcraft
Terraria

I think that's all. Don't see any games in the future that I would spent over 200 hours on.

This past year I reached 200 on New Leaf, Skyrim, and Kid Icarus Uprising. I'm planning on spending 200 if not more on Smash Bros.

Rock Band
ISS 64
GoldenEye 007
Knights of the Old Republic (at least 7 or 8 playthroughs)
Tie Fighter
StarCraft 2
C&C Generals
Star Trek Armada
Star Wars Battlefront
I'm close enough in Battlefield 4

Team Fortress Classic
Team Fortress 2
Counter-Strike
Everquest
City of Heroes
World of Warcraft (probably close to 2000 hours)

For single player games, I can only think of a couple that may even approach 100 hours.

Myth II is the only game I've definitely put 200 hours into. Maybe, maybe Goldeneye. Diablo III I expect to hit 200 when all is said and done but that includes expansions which are kind if cheating.

Spelunky - The daily challenge means I play it nearly every day and that should continue for the foreseeable future, even when that stops it should be a game I always come back to.

GTA VC & SA - Me and my brother took it turns to evade the cops at the two highest wanted levels, something that hasn't been the same since it left the PS2.

Smackdown: HctP - Local multi-player game of choice for years

Mario 3, maybe SMB too just through accumulated time over decades, If SMG2 ever gets ported to a future handheld I'm unlikely to play much else.
Tetris
Pokemon Blue

Persona 4 across both versions

There are plenty of others where I've logged that across a few games in a series but I'm not sure about just one incarnation.

Kerbal space program is that game for me.

Not only did I spend a ton of time on it initially, I also use it as something of a palette cleanser in between action games to avoid burn out.

Final Fantasy XIV: ARR (only one of these I regret, thank god my friends went back to XI)

FFIX's the only game I've spent more than 200+ hours on. And that was because it was one of the earliest RPGs I played so didn't know exactly what to do at times and would aimlessly wander around.

Nowadays, I can get everything (I want) out of a game long before I reach the 200 or even 100 hour mark.

...I guess DotA would count since I played that for almost 4 years.

I have put over 200 hours into FFXI, PSO, The Halo series, and Battlefield: BC 2.

It looks like Destiny will hit that number and possibly GTA Online.

Dark Souls 1/2
Kingdom Hearts 2
Smash
Fallout / Elder Scrolls
I believe Binding of Isaac is sitting at my most played game on Steam, somewhere around 300 hours. I still haven't beaten it ;-;

If I ever see Bloodborne or get Demons' Souls, I will no-life that.

As a collection, Halo has probably around 400 hours from me.

Hum let's see

Multiplayer:

All the main Battlefield titles on PC
WoW
Runescape (-.-)
LoL

Singleplayer :

Civ 4 and 5
Medieval total war 2
Fallout 3
Skyrim
Oblivion
Morrowind

I think that's about it.

Destiny is the first game that I can see myself playing a lot of hours on. Usually I finish a game an move on but this one has its hooks in me.

According to Raptr Gears of War 2 and Gears of War 3. I honestly can only think of a few games from previous generations that I might have spent 200+ hours on which are Super Smash Bros, Goldeneye, Super Mash Bros Melee, RE 4, Pokemon Yellow, Need for Speed Underground, and Devil May Cry.

For this generation I can see Destiny making that list and that's it right now.
