Gamestop: Forced bundles are "Convenient" for Consumers

Gamestop bundles need to be a meme. This is gold.

I've only ever seen one or two bundles that aren't complete garbage, but even then its still inconvenient. Can't believe they had the gall to say that. Amazing.

Because Gamestop is the only brick and mortar store that allows trade-in's and sells used games...

I'll take that bundle over having a $30 keychain and some ugly "I AM A GAMER" t-shirt.

Unpopular as it is, I actually agree with this. Their bundles last year allowed for me to actually get an NES classic to give as a Christmas gift. Was it ideal to pay 120 bucks for it? No, but way more ideal than paying 200 and not getting any extras. Also way more ideal than just not getting one. The convenience isn't that I get great extras, but that forced bundles slow down the sellthrough.

Yes this is one of the reasons this exists. I keeps scalpers away who have zero benefit to GS.

What an embarrassing attempt at PR. We all know why those bundles exist. Gamestop treating its customer base like idiots isn't helping their bottom line lately.

A company backs what brings in money. News at 11. My as well ask cellphone companies about their factories overseas. They do what's best for them.

I find it extremely convenient to not shop at Gamestop and let their stores turn into a shittier Hot topic full of Funko Pops, unsold Collectors Editions and swaths of Harley Quinn-branded merch

Y'all might laugh at it but I think the physical nerd culture junk they sell in stores is their only growth area if I'm remembering correctly.

I think that's very very likely. Digital sales are increasing, and I feel people don't want deluxe editions as much as they once did. The recent gamestop I visited felt more like a video game-themed toy store.
