Ok, while I cannot speak for the company as a whole, the numbers per store seem pretty good.

As of this writing the slowest stores will see around he 15-20 mark while busier stores will see up over 50.

Each store will post these numbers for their location only on he front door after close of business.

This is for Gamestop stores in the US only.

Quoting for new page.

People here are really pretending they knew the NES Classic would be huge? Really?
I'd be more shocked to find someone who didn't think it would be huge. Nintendo has a diehard fanbase and huge nostalgia factor along with a record of selling items with a relatively limited quantity. I had to jump through so many damn hoops to get my Majora's Mask 3ds without paying more than the MSRP. The inevitable SNES they release will be an even more coveted item.

Close of business today?

Can you pre order over the phone with GameStop? I'm kind of screwed tomorrow as I have no time in the morning before commute to work and I am going out after work for mother's birthday and won't be home till like after midnight.

Just drove to my GameStop I used to work at, they closed 15 min ago and nothing on the door yet. I texted my ex-coworkers but nobody answered me yet lol

My local one said they're getting 22, and they got 6 NES Classics when that came out, so at least it's over a 3x improvement.

I just called the GameStop by work (Chicago), and they said they are taking preorders tomorrow in store when they open at 10. I asked if you could preorder online and they didn't know.

I drove past my gamestop on the way home today, there were already 4 people camped outside

ps: it's 26 fucking degrees

You're about to head back and be the 5th person aren't you.

Edit: Y'all should come and preorder down in FL or TX. I'm sure its plenty warm for camping out!

I'm heading out about 5am to get in line somewhere. Probably a GameStop since I know they'll do a midnight. Best Buy if that looks grim. 20 degrees here. :-(

For the system bonus trade in do I have to trade in the system while doing the pre order?
Or can I pre order the system and come back later to get the bonus when trading in my system?

It would appear you have until the 22nd to take advantage of the offer.

So my guess is you could pay the $50 deposit, then come back in a few days & pay more of the pre-order off by trading the console of your choice in. But you won't be able to do it when the system itself launches.

Hmm I wonder if it's worth trying the GameStop by my work in Greeley Square. I figure any in the city will be a mess.

That one is pretty good. You should try the one on 21st near Trader Joe's. I wish I could make it to either but I have meetings all morning.

There are 2 gamestops within a mile of my house in Cincinnati, OH and they are also within a mile of each other. Store # 1 is getting 26 and store # 2 is getting 23. The one by my buddies house is getting 46. Lucky bastard. No one is camping out yet at any of they though. It will be about 30 degress at 8am here. Hopefully I can get the in store pick up from Best Buy tonight.

It would be hilarious if Nintendo didn't allow for pre-orders in the same fashion as with NES Classic. Imagine the shitstorm.

I don't think Nintendo will have preorders or mention any official preorders. It will be up to the retailer to take the risk of not taking on too many preorders. Has Nintendo ever officially mentioned preordering a console?

Greeley Square is literally a block away from my office so I could just pop down at like 950 and be there in five right for opening. But I wonder if people will be camping out in the city. I would expect they'd get 40+ though being right in the center of the city. That fact though might draw more people there.
