WTF is a Rage?

Are people really excited for that game? :/

Id software last game (Doom 3) was released in 2004. While pretty much setting a new standard for graphics at the time, the game was a bit lacking in the gameplay department. This not only looks great but it also seems to be tons of fun. Call it nostalgic, but yeah I have been waiting for a new Id game for years now. Plus it actually doesn't look like the other shooter games currently on the market.

It looks like Fallout 3 to me. Or Borderlands minus the cell-shading. "Post-apocalyptic" is not original.

Rage had like 1 Win prior to today, then it came and took it all.

I was satisfied with most of the awards except the sports one, meh.

I find GT's love affair with Metroid: Other M much more odd. Most other thoughts on the game have ranged from apathy in favor of other Wii titles to outright hatred for its controls and design.

While I can certainly understand why all 5 games for GotS deserved to be there, I'm pretty surprised that there were no PS3 exclusives on that list at all. GT5? KZ3?

And Rage... I love iD and everything, but I have zero interest in this game whatsoever. GT needs to make separate categories for multiplatform and console exclusive awards for this kind of stuff. Otherwise this shit happens. Like with last year's GotY and MW2...

Surprised Crysis 2 got snubbed pretty much. Not even nominated for best PC game. From what they've shown it looks amazing and much more exciting than what we've seen of RAGE so far.

Rage is just Borderlands with better graphics. But I didn't play it and it's their opinion so....yeah.
