Imho it's barely possible that MS breaks, with all the acquisitions they have done. Although after the short Psychonauts, FS and Halo period we again got not the promised stream of games. They have good RPG studios, they have a bunch of shooter expertise, they have some nichier title producers, they have a good race sim. They basically only lack in narrative heavy games but apear to have a broader variety than their competitor right now. Even without AB MS should do fine unless they somehow manage to turn Bethesda in a Rare situation. Starfield is just one, but maybe relatively important, but still just one of many games that will have to be good to attract players.
