Almost.

The EEEBox is a great little machine save for a few annoyances.

1) The blue power light and HDD access indicators are really fucking bright if trying to use it as an HTC. Not a problem if you mount it to the back of your screen though.

2) Too many vital ports under the front panel. 2 x USB ports and the audio in and out are under the flap meaning that if you want to get sound out of the machine, or have to plug in more than 2 USB devices you have to have the flap open letting out even more light.

3) The Atom CPU is surprisingly pokey. The Intel GMA GPU undoes everything though.

However. there's a new version coming soon which should be genuinely great. The B208 comes equipped with an Atom Duo, a 256MB Radeon 4350 and an HDMI-out as well as a remote and IR dongle.

Now that's sexy.

So am I the only one who still thinks that the PS3 hardware design is hideous? PSthree can't come soon enough.

Also seconded on the GB Micro, N64, Dreamcast, and PSP (2000 is my favourite).

No, you're just the first guy with genuinely good taste.

The PSP and Dreamcast are hot sex, and even the original PS2 is fairly attractive. The PS3 and anything Gamecube related -- including the metallic monstrosity in the OP -- should be taken out back and shot.

edit: Forgot about the original Xbox. That one should be taken out back, tortured, shot, revived, tortured some more, forced to listen to a continuous loop of something by Linkin Park for six straight days, and then impaled on a spike as a warning to all future console design teams.

This one blows my mind. Especially considering the adapter is inside of it. Lack of slot-load kills it as a vertical system but, then, if it had one I doubt it be that thin.

Okay, that's awesome.

White Dreamcast with blue swirl and orange power light, must sexy console IMO without mods.

iPod Touch 2nd gen is also very sexy, it's like 1cm thick, chrome back plate and a completely smooth front with glass, not even the psp beats it.

Also why are a lot of people posting shit instead of sexy consoles?

the gamecube (indigo), wii, super famicom, gameboy micro, and famicom are my favorite looking gaming devices.

the black gc is okay, but indigo is where it's at. the platinum one is just ugly.

Am I seriously the only one that likes the original full-size PS2? I always loved the monolithic look of it when stood vertically - it looks sleek and imposing, yet it's not overbearingly large like the PS3 is.

And some of the special colors available (Ceramic/Pearl White, Sakura Pink, and Aqua Blue especially) are gorgeous. In fact, if they didn't have the stock-colored buttons and port areas, they'd be perfect.

Unfortunately there aren't many good images of it that I can find, but here's the Pink and Blue versions:

And a very shoddy image of the White:

Nope, I agree with you. The full sized PS2 is the only good looking thing Sony has ever made in the gaming space in my opinion.

Oh you're right. I scrolled by fast when I opened this thread and it didn't load quickly enough.

Carry on.

Just in case be careful... pretty sure that's actually bannable.

Definitely agree about the light.
USB problem could be solved with a USB hub, but it would be better to have a few more ports in the back.
I used the image of the B203 but I really got the B202. And that one got sound out both in the front and the back.

Anyway, I really love Asus now. The EEE Box is all-in-all awesome, and I also got a router by them, which is the best router I've ever had.

That's some hot shit right there. When I saw the first pic I thought it'd be hideous, but that's just an awesome design, very nice.
