I won't buy it even if it's true... the damage has been done... what's keeping them from backpedaling again and bring the restrictions back?
Why did it take them this long to listen? Why not do this at E3? Why wait till after the damage was done? Not really. XBone has only been announced for amonth.
All they need to do is make an announcement and say
"YOU SPOKE WE LISTENED"
Makes them look like good guys in the end.
Full disclosure. Im getting a PS4 but now will consider an XBone down the road if true.
I see you read the misc.
Indeed.Would be hilarious to watch the proDRM people suddenly backpedal on how this is a good thing.
PS4 has the compute units, XB1 has the games. I wonder which will win out.
Fallon mentioned that the PS4 would support used games and no internet checks while the Xbox wouldn't.
Yep. Competition is better for everyone.
like how giantbomb was pretty much sure that the ps4 was going to be just like the xbox?
Same. I'm sure that the library will bump up over time, but this makes them look even worse (assuming it's true). Those are policies we never should have had to deal with in the first place. No use in telling me 'loljk' now when you told me last week you were gonna take all my toys and pee on them.
lul
whathifi is having a banner day
Thing is, even if this rumor turns out true I would still be wary about getting an Xbone, just because of the potential of MS rolling it all back slowly over the course of the gen.
It basically was... It was literally the highlight of their press conference.

A lot of naïve people around. Every 3 months we will get closer and closer to people going all digital anyways with their games and all of this will be moot. Both Sony and MS have stated that all the games will also be downloadable on day one just as the disc versions are today. A lot of people are going all digital with the new consoles so this would be a moot point anyways since you can't trade in your digital copies of games.
And EA announces the reintroduction to their online pass!
Loving all the spin this thread lol. If MS does go through with this it's only good news for gamers.
Does this mean Cliffy B will also back track?
