Probably, yeah. If it's open source and fits comfortably within the Zero's specs, any port is possible.

KS currently almost $227K with 3 hours to go. Can they hit $230K, putting them $100K over the original goal? I think so!

Somebody get on this! I need portable SC 2!

Lol @ those last minute stretch goals.

16GB MicroSD is nice, but I had to lol at screen protector. Unless it has the Hori method of application, those things are worth less than a dollar.

NOTE: I will be away during the last 2 hours of the Kickstarter, so won't be able to update the OP with final tallies till late tonight or tomorrow. Just letting everyone know.

Now let's go for (at least) $230K!!!

Only ~3 hours left, so get your pledges in now!

Yeah, well... a free dollar's worth of goodies is still a free dollar's worth of goodies. ;-P

What happened to the dock/stand?

These are lame. The 16GB micro sd card is kinda useless to me cuz I'd toss it aside and put something bigger in the system. Plus, there's no way they're going to hit 250k at this point.

Not sure where people are getting the dock/stand idea from(?). EDIT: ok, I see Justin did mention one as a future accessory.

Besides, I think we already have a nice stretch prize haul: free OTG adapter, HDMI cable, GCW Pouch, and screen protector. That's a nice little package of extras IMO.

2 hours to go! Pledge now!

What happened to the dock/stand?

The dock/stand was something he brought up in the comments as something he might do. He said recently that it's something he'll have a good chance of doing once he gets the consoles out and shipped.

Also i did my part and backed this and got my roommate as well.

Because he said this 13 hours ago:

One of the stretch goals for tomorrow is to raise money for a docking station that will allow for charging of the console but will have 4 powered USB ports on the front to connect different devices such as multiple controllers a mouse/keyboard combo with ports to spare.

How do they get your shipping address? Is it the one on your amazon.com account?

I ask because I got a fake american address in to buy PC digital downloads.

I'm in. Hope this thread stays alive and healthy as we receive our units and try to get the emulators/homebrew working.

Lol me too, I have no idea where to get programs for this. And it seems like it will really benefit from newer optimized emus.

Did you check out dingoonity? Thats where the majority of information will be. Vitacat and I and a few other GAF members are on that fourm so the information will get on GAF regardless. But the programs and apps that are first party will be on a GCW zero app store like thing I believe.

Third party apps like emulators and such will probably be just downloaded and put on an extranal micro or usb connect the console to the computer and load the apps onto the device's internal memory.

Either way it should be easy and painless, and I am sure youtubers will make vidoes, I know I will.

10k more for 250, lets go

I doubt I'll ever fill the 16GB internal, let alone an extra card.

EDIT: that's it! Successfully funded, which is all that matters.

Now the wait begins, I hope this doesnt get delayed like many kickstarters, he is gonna have to make like 1500 units right?

Well it's not like many hardware kickstarters where it's at a prototype phase. It's ready for manufacturing so and hiccups would likely be beyond his control.

Man that is a giant cluster fuck. I'm glad I never got involved with that. Also hope this one doesn't go that route.

Not to go too offtopic, but I got boned hardcore on that.

I paid 264 UKP for a Pandora + video cable.

I have no idea when I will get my unit, if ever. I think I need to request a refund because at this point it would be cheaper to do that and reorder one than to "upgrade" my existing preorder (compare the 1st option to the last option on this page + what I already paid):

https://www.dragonbox.de/en/27-main-consoles-and-upgrades

Of course, who knows if I will get my money back if I request a refund. :(

Also HOW DID you guys miss the GCW?!?!?! Omg they really should have waited till 11PM or something.

Development of the Pandora began when Craig Rothwell, Fatih Kilic, Michael Mrozek and (later) Michael Weston teamed up and planned a portable system that would excel in the areas where they thought the GP32 and GP2X systems (from Gamepark and Gamepark Holdings respectively) were flawed.[2] The Pandora was designed based on ideas and suggestions contributed by GP32X forum members, with the goal of creating the ultimate open source handheld device.[3] The final case and keymat design was made by DaveC, who was known on the forums for custom hardware modifications.[4]

The initial development and setup costs were funded through a Crowd funding approach where early supporters made a speculative payment[5] , and if the console made it into production, each supporter would hopefully (eventually) receive a device as later sales recouped the initial investment costs. OpenPandora began taking payments on September 30, 2008[2][6] OpenPandora began shipping to customers on May 21, 2010,[7][8] In late 2011, after production problems, OpenPandora shifted its production from Texas to Germany, delaying production[9] and the device was upgraded from 256MB to 512MB RAM.[10]

As of September 3, 2012, 4600 units have been shipped and 400 early supporters are still waiting to receive a console,[11] as these pre-orders are only fulfilled when sales to new customers are made.[12] Since June 2012, a new 1 GHz model has been made available in limited amounts during the summer 2012. Due to the shortage of previous 600 MHz chips, it is expected this new model could become de facto standard in the near future.

And this device was made in first place for homebrew gaming and not emulation (even though it will get first class Emulators).
