No I mean Halo 5. The modernized gunplay and tactics introduced with the jetpack/boosts, people complaining that it doesn't feel like Halo 3 anymore.

This is gonna play out just like every gears after 1. Lots of people will buy it but within the month mp will be dead because the bouncers will ruin it for everyone else.
Halo hasn't felt like Halo 3 since Halo 3 and thank god for that.

I never got the deal with people liking a franchise, and then wanting it to be revamped - the game earned a fanbase for a reason, why do you want to lose what drew you to it in the first place?
Can't see myself getting mad on a forum actually, I don't even use the ignore function.
Nothing is wrong with criticism, I criticized Gears Judgment plenty, and even moreso, Gears Ultimate Edition, which I didn't even buy.
You on the other hand were trying to create something that wasn't even there now, or five years ago in Gears 3.

I kind of fell off the Gears hype train after 3. I have not looked up much information about 4, but I may pick this up eventually. There is too many other games coming out that have my attention more than this.
Absolutely fantastic. Co-Signing the posters who say that Gears of War 1 on Xbox 360 was some of the happiest days. High School, no care in the world. Played it religiously with one of my high school buds and older cousin. Like, 10k+ hours logged easy. No cares in the world.
The sequels all offered their own special things for us, and now this is the first sequel proper for Xbox One. And while my HS buddy and I are both working people now, we are both gonna be playing on Oct 7th. GOOD TIMES! Thank you Gears.

I can't believe this even came up, for fucks sake. Even if it was backpedaled on, I can't for the life of me understand why someone would bring this up. What an annoying way to try and shine light on a non issue and take any focus, even a little, away from the good impressions on things that matter to prospective buyers.

I have the opposite stance on this - I dont understand why people just want the same thing again. It works to an extent, but there comes a point where I feel risks need to be taken and change needs to happen.
I feel a franchise can still be true to itself while making big changes to core mechanics.
I actually really like what they did with Halo 5, I had kind of lost interest but I feel 343 managed to breathe some life back into it.
I wasnt interested much in GoW4, It feels abit safe and watching footage feels like going back in time almost. I'll keep an eye on it and read more into it though, the crossplay coop is great news (I'd be buying on PC)
Its probably the same people who found Forza Horizon 3 looking "meh"

Well, well, certainly didn't expect such glowing impressions. Looks like this game will exceed everyone's expectations. Xbox One needs a well reviewed game badly and I need one or two more reasons to finally have enough justification to get the console this holidays season. This and Forza Horizon 3 will do that for me.

It's a mistake. You get a $20 coupon for any other XB1 game, after you pick up your copy of Gears 4 when it launches.
PC version looks awesome too. Not sure if 59.99 or 99.99 yet.

I was always excited for Gears 4, but now I'm full on hyped. Bring this shit on!
Hopefully skill based ranking like Halo is gonna help. That the mortals dont come across those crazy guys haha.
I can't blame them for playing it safe, especially given Halo 4's reception, but it seems like they're continuing the strong foundation of the previous games whilst adding some new stuff, and that is totally alright by me.
I have a feeling the Coalition will get a bit more experimental with Gears 5, but only time will tell.
