Every copy comes with gow1 code.

I don't understand the hate for this game. It's really fun well made game. Little tweaks here and there. I hope the population don't drop it.
I love it. I think some people maybe disappointed if they are trying to play it like a single player campaign. It is truly meant to be played in co-op with three other buds on hardcore with declassified missions. It is a hella rush to survive some of those missions. Its much faster paced which i'm sure thats what PCF was going after. I could see some getting disappointed just going through it in single player on normal but you really need to try this on 4 player co-op. The social aspect to the campaign is what separates the Gears and Halos from other games.

It's not a campaign. It's a score attack/ horde mode hybrid with self contained defend-this-room game design.

Finally beat the campaign. This game will probably never go back into my disc tray again.

I also have a Gears of War 1 code if anyone wants it. Just hit me with a PM if interested. Want to give it away before I inevitably trade Judgment in.
Lol

I'm probably hoping to do the same but will play gears 3 more regularly

Its still a campaign. The environments are smaller then other Gears but there is less filler also. If the stats didn't come up it would seem more continuous cause there is still a brief in game cutscene between sections. It doesn't just send you back to a menu after you complete sections. They are telling the story in flashbacks. Now I agree its not a particularly great story but to me just because stats pop up and theres a scoring component doesn't mean its not a campaign.

You guys are making me want to play gears 3 online again, I lack the last two map packs however and don't really want to play peer to peer.

Play Gears 3 online again? Are you kidding me? You know how many times I nearly smashed my controller up because of that stupid retro/sawn off!!!

Anyway I would like 2 of epics games in the top 10 Xbox live

So lets hope gears judgement and 3 keep there populations up

I haven't finished the Aftermath campaign yet but it's night and day compared to the Judgment campaign. The complete lack of scoring makes it feel more like old Gears. It would have been a better compromise if People Can Fly made both campaigns playable in Story and Arcade modes. Of course, at that point Judgment's lack of story would be laid bare. You have to liken to to a L4D meets score attack experience because it certainly isn't reminiscent of any previous Gear's campaign.

Aftermath, on the other hand, could have been Gears 3 DLC and it would fit right in.

I'm up to the dusty, low visibility bit in the campaign.

What is this shit. Is this really all there is to it? There hasn't been any thought put into these encounters. It's just waves of random enemies. So boring.

Who thought it would be a good idea to give the noob launcher players unlimited ammo. Seems unbalanced to hell.

I'm not sure why everybody hates this.

Campaign was a lot of fun.
Beating every map in survival was/is a lot of fun.
Overrun is a lot of fun.
I've never cared much for multiplayer in Gears, but I have played a few matches and they were somewhat fun.

I already have 21 hours played in this game since Tuesday and I've loved every single one.

Wow hit detection and lag is unreal, then the grenades blast radius of a nuke and suck on to you from miles away. This game will last till i finish the campaign at this rate and be gone.

So the general consensus is that this game's MP is mediocre right?

Where does it fit in this undeniably correct equation?

GOW 1 > 3 > 2

GOW 1 > GOW J > the other ones. GOW J is more replayable tho. I am fucking loving this on solo insane, but its more mayhem, where Gears 1 was more tactical aggro.

I have a gnasher at the ready.

That's what this game *is*. Revel in it.

Its pure combat mechanics with very little fluff. The mainline Gears games exist for story and character and world building. This is pure dynamic combat with a ton of variety to the scenarios. I can't get enough.
Quoted for motherfucking truth. I can't get enough of the campaign honestly. Gears 2 is still probably my favorite overall campaign but hot damn if Judgement isn't beating down its door. It almost feels like Gears of War: Arcade Edition and I love that.

Im just going to be blunt.

This game is fucking terrible. Gears 2 wasn't even this infuriating.

Money wasted.

This has a campaign in the same way that Left 4 Dead had a campaign. Only this one is perfectly playable solo, offers far more variety across the board, has more direct storytelling and has a very detailed scoring, ranking and progression system.

After three Gears games, its nice to get one that plays like a high octane "Best of", without all the forced slow walks and on rails sections.

When Gears 1 released, I joked around with friends about how it felt like a 3D Contra style game done right (this was before Vanquish of course), and listening to impressions, it seems they've finally taken it further in that direction instead of going deeper into story, for better or worse.

Now that really sounds like my kind of game. Especially as one of the last high profile exclusives. That and I liked what People can Fly did with Bulletstorm.

Looking at CAG right now and apparently Best Buy is doing 100% trade in credit. But it ends today I think. I might just get my $60 back. Lol.

Played for the last few days and have about 50+ matches of MP and I've not had any lag, no problems with hit detection nor have the nades been over powered (Easy to bounce away from). Same thing for three of my other friends.

Seems like you are having connection issues.

The Declassified Mission on 5-3 (Upper State Street) on Hardcore is impossible.

I'm playing Solo atm, so if anyone wants to do it in co-op, send me a message. I'm HT UK on XBL
If you're still having trouble,
in the second part, set the turret at the top of the stairs, grab the oneshot, and put it up on the little terrace thing to the left of the stairs. You can get two ragers with one shot as they climb out of the hole. Then use the one-shot for the maulers/grinders while your friends and turret deal with the ragers. After you're all out of oneshot ammo, go nuts with the Lancer.
That took me a few tries, but eventually I got it down playing solo.

whats wrong with gears 2. its awesome!
I guess you were in a coma back then, huh.

That game didn't function until the fourth title update. Judgement is so far away from what Gears should be. The mechanics and presentation are sloppy and the overall design is careless.

I got gears 2 at launch. as far as goj i don't see why you expected much from a spinoff and another company.

You damn Juniors. I'd be lying if I said I was going to play my Gears 1. If somebody wants the code, DM me.
