honestly, after playing sniper elite 4, i don't really feel like i need to buy this. the game is open world, but the world, much like in MGSV doesn't really serve any purpose. the objectives are almost all centralized to small locations so there is only so much outer area a person needs in regards to freedom of approach, after all, you're not going to snipe people from a mountain 1000 miles away. the same was true for MGSV, the open world was redundant because the objectives were fixed. so the rest of the gigantic world goes unused and only serves as a means to piss you off/bore you to death as you drive/ride/fly your way from point A to point B.
now combine that to the repetitive mission structure, poor shooting. poor cover system. the almost broken vehicle handling and lacklustre visuals. and i'm honestly not sure what i'm supposed to be getting excited about?
EDIT: also, does anyone find the fact you can silence every weapon a little OP? you can just sit on a hill and take out every enemy with zero consequences. AI doesn't seem to notice their mates dying unless they're stood right next to them, and you're shooting without making a single sound. it feels like playing with invisibility mode on...like cheating.
