last i checked they're still charging money for entertaining content.
I didn't realise the $4.95/mth was a direct payment for content that month. Then again, I pay annually, but now it is brought to my attention I'm reconsidering all of these things in my life. You might well be onto something eival!
Compound interest that is only compounded monthly in my savings account. What a fucking rip. I'm walking down to the bank tomorrow and demanding that shit be compounded an hour after I make a deposit.
My employer. Fuck that guy. I have to work for two whole weeks before he pays me? What is this shit? I should be paid immediately, or atleast within an immediate time frame after I punch out in the evening.
Superannuation. I seriously have to wait until I retire at ~60 before I can access it? What the
shit? How did I not realise how ripped off I've been all this time?
My TV subscriptions. I can't believe I never realised this before, but you're totally right. I pay $7.99 per month for Netflix, $7.99 for Hulu and $20/month for Austar here in Australia, and those fucks barely ever put out new content. Indeed, I can just torrent 99% of the stuff that is on there! Fuck, the epiphany that just washed over me has left me trembling. Guess who is getting a mad call tomorrow from me?
Shit, every investment I've ever made in my life that didn't pay out the day after. They were all a con, too. My resources portfolio that doesn't pay annual dividends, fuck. I should probably stop buying non-winning lottery tickets, too.
Thank you, eival, you've made my life a brighter, more cheerful and far cheaper one. I will go into this weekend a better person for your life changing post about the $4.95 and the lack of monthly content which it ought to entitle you to.
