Also, white female voice in SR2 is better than Laura Bailey. Going back and listening to it again, I forgot she had a southern twang in SR2.

I'm not saying that the game doesn't have a problem with communicating what it wants you to do, although I also think that the Giantbomb crew are in general quite bad at figuring out game mechanics except for Jeff. The thing is that Brad specifically will immediately blame the game whereas the others will sit and consider that maybe *they* are doing something wrong. He ends up coming off as arrogant and obnoxious.

I think others have brought this up before but there's definitely a reason "Pulling a Brad" is such a longstanding meme in the GB community, and it's not because he messes up a lot. Vinny makes a TON of mistakes while playing games, as well as a few other staff members depending on the game. The reason Brad dying is such a staple is because he usually screams "FUCK" and then complains about how bullshit that was. I love Brad and I think that's hilarious, but even i'll admit it irks me when he rides that immediate "AHH I DIED" wave right into holding contempt for the game in the Quick Look. That said, Brad's his own duder and he can handle himself however he wants; i've been enjoying content featuring him since like 2008, I think I can handle it.

I'm loving the Panel so far. I feel like Jeff is overplaying the host bit and being a bit distracting so far, but i'm sure that'll let up soon. GG, GB!

jeff was really good "hosting" that pax panel. he actually has serious showmanship talent.

really funny and good improv skills. if he was more camera friendly he'd probably be a big comic.

Only two strange questions/question askers at the panel this time. The first one and the individual who was talking about his girlfriend leaving him and was nonchalantly cursing the crew left and right.

And Vinny's behavior in this panel itself speaks for why he is the most loved one in the bunch. While the rest were busy tossing heavy objects at the audience like numbnuts Vinny was thoughtful and considerate enough to take prizes and personally hand them to people all the way in the back. Such a nice person.

Jeff should try some stand up. He can work a crowd for sure.

He seems more of an improv comedy person. For standup you need actual joke sets. But yeah, Jeff is really good at coming up with funny off the cuff remarks. This might be a great career move for him if he ever decides to pursue it.

All the work patrick did to be good in front of a camera is paying off. Guy can articulate his thoughts very well. Even in front of a crowd!

the snooty GB mods don't like these lookee likes and close the threads but I find them amusing and this is a good one.

Looks like Patrick completed EarthBound finally :) It's so awesome to see one of the bombcrew finally play this game, and just seeing how much he ended up enjoying it puts a smile on my face.

Alex - "Why would you bring your baby? It's going to die of disease"

Ever the charmer. Why do they insist on putting him on the panel?

Oh come on, it's a just a joke about pax being the catalyst for many disease outbreaks. He's not intending the baby to die of disease.

I know that. Believe me I love dark humour. The darkest.

I just feel uncomfortable when it's Alex because of how snarky he is. He lacks any charm, tact and a lot of the time, humour. If Vinny or Jeff would have said it it probably would have been 10x funnier.

I just really don't like Alex haha!

I miss Ryan. I have seen his video content and read his reviews since the early days of Gamespot. It's really taken me by surprise how sad it has made me. I guess when the years build up, you feel closer to the people, particularly when they are doing video content.

I remember when Jeff left Gamespot, and Ryan left too, and I thought that was going to be the end of it. It never occured to me.. That it would become so big. It really goes to show that jeff, Ryan and Brad just really have an amazing chemistry with people.

I believe Alex has said he has suffered in the past from legit anxiety problems, so i'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when he comes off as standoffish or snarky while being in a room with hundreds of people staring at him. I know i'd find it hard to keep a cool head!

More than anyone else on the crew, I feel like Brad walks in to most games knowing whether or not he would like it (and thus how much slack he's willing to cut it for things that may or may not be his fault) before ever sitting down and playing it.

Which is fine, some people are like that with video games and beyond. No harm in it, really.

Those guys were part of the same small group in the audience that came down from Vancouver or something. Constantly competing for attention during the entire panel. Then they bum rushed the mic as soon as the QA opened. You could not ask for a more obnoxious bunch of cunts.

When Alex shut that guy down, every one really enjoyed it, especially Alex.

Honestly didn't look like something you can dodge.

Ive played the game, you just press down to duck and it flies over you, the game even places Mickey in the ducking position automatically to give you the hint.

The first few attempts, I just figured Brad didnt know he could duck in the game but in the middle of the QL he does it instinctively to quickly dodge a spider which made the second round much harder to watch
Granted its understandable when you get an idea in your head on what to do in a game, and it kinda works, you just keep doing it

What was up with the dude that asked the TANG question? Was he just being super naive or did he seem like he was trying to provoke something?

I have anxiety problems too, and I know I'd be just as snarky if I was in the same situation.

I don't think anyone insisted on having him on the panel. It's just common sense, he's part of the crew, of course he's on the panel. It's not like he is a special guest or something.

Maybe I'm losing my mind, but didn't Giant Bomb do a quick look or some type of video featuring Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara? I was debating if I wanted to pick up the Wii U version, and wanted to rewatch whatever it was that they did, but I can't find anything on the game's page.

I believe it was in an UnPro? Dunno which one though.
