Eff it, I'll take that paypal store link and sub I guess. I was holding out because you don't get store credit and auto buy the shirt (which I'd have to get shipped), but it's not a terrible shirt I suppose

There's another PayPal link in the store that let's you sub without the t-shirt.

Unless I dreamt it.

I dunno man, I was playing pokemon, metal slug and civilization and everything was cool.

The past seems like a lie now. :(

Well I was thinking the 80s not the 90s, and like Green Scar said it was mainly PC games, although there was a lot of licensed shit on the consoles as well (LJN anyone?).

It's not the same, but I think the bombcast has adapted pretty well. Once drew starts settling in I think it'll become as consistent as before. Still has some absolutely great moments in every episode.

That might take a while. I mean, he still has trouble syncing up his essence with reality, let alone settling in on a podcast

I was listening to this clip the other day. The chemistry they all had together was amazing. The Bombcast is still good, but it definitely is not the same. Ryan would always pick up on stupid shit and make great conversations with them.
He really drove the conversation and basically balanced everything out, and it cannot be stressed enough how important that is. Without him it's just not as good. It's not that everyone else sucks, or has nothing interesting to say, but Ryan's personality and how he worked it into a conversation or observation really helped set the Bombcast apart from most others.

Think of it like Bryan Cranston dying after the third season of Breaking Bad. You can't replace him and the show would have fallen apart with him out of the picture.

Man I'm loving the stuff coming out of Patrick's "Worth Playing" series. Boson x in particular has been blowing my mind. It's got that FTL "hard as balls but oh so satisfyingly addictive" feel to it.

The thing I miss about Ryan the most is how he kept that high energy up. Every livestream and podcast is so low-key now that they often verge into boring territory.
