Should Drew buy a Wii U? What's the best emoji of 2015's freshman class? Just how good IS Super Mario Maker? Does Forza 6 still have cars? All these and other burning questions will be explored on this week's edition of... what's this podcast called again?

Really interesting discussion about Steam achievements. I was a huge fan of achievement hunting on Xbox, but have never really given a shit on Steam. I would get real pumped whenever the new cod achievements would come out because there are so many cool achievements to try to get in the campaign.

I wish Steam had a better system for it. Pretty much the only game I care about achievements for is The Binding of Isaac rebirth, but that's because there's an in-game system for tracking that stuff.

Getting real tired of them shitting all over Peace Walker when none of them played it.

The characterization in PW was great, and while the controls were clumsy on a PSP it's since been put on the Vita and PS3, which can emulate the right stick camera controls to a reasonable degree.

Played through PW mostly on a train and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Go back and watch the PW Quick Look-- Brad didn't understand that you had to use supply drops to get more ammo. He assumed you couldn't beat the bosses unless you played co-op. That's not necessary, I never played Peace Walker co-op, and I got through the whole game including the second ending. I think having played MGSV now it'd be interesting if they did go back and mess around with PW a little and see where all the metagame of MGSV came from.

You can beat them solo, I did as well, but they're huge bullet sponges and a pain in ass to fight. That's what they mean when they talk about the bosses.

There is more ignorance of some games they discuss on the Bombcast than I would like. I can't really expect them to be experts of every game they play, but it can be annoying sometimes when they spout off nonsense out of ignorance.

Like Dan not playing through Peace Walker kind of bewilders me.

Iirc he played some of it but found it to be too much of a hassle to control to finish.

Yeah, watching that PW cutscene video showed the boss fights and you could tell that they take a long time to kill, even with the video cutting the footage to try and be more intense.

Yeah, that's my understanding too, and when the HD stuff came around he didn't care enough to go back to it with a proper control scheme. It's just crazy to me that someone I would describe as among the biggest Metal Gear fanatics isn't hardcore enough to play through Peace Walker, only being familiar with the story through YouTube videos. It's also worth noting that the video he watched with Drew, if that's how he got the story, committed the same error I've seen summaries miss in understating Paz's role in things because they didn't think she'd be as important as she winds up being. I wonder if either him or Drew did the Ground Zeroes tapes...I kind of doubt it, because Drew very clearly played through the Ground Zeroes mission once and never touched it again.

(Yes I follow Drew on Xbox Live; I know what achievements he's gotten in the game.)
