GOG DRM-Free Time Machine Sale

? Huh?

Arcanum's a great game (after applying the unofficial fixpack and widescreen patch).

I know that people have nice things to say about it and I am usually all in for games of that type but I just disliked every aspect of it. But hey, I also bought such fine GOG releases as Phantasmagoria 2 and Ultima IX so my taste is somewhat suspect.

EDIT:

BG2 was 2000.

My bad. I guess gamerankings did me wrong.

I got around to replaying Deus Ex a few days ago, but got up to the part where you return to Paul from the NSF HQ but he's not there. The game glitched out and I have put in a bunch of console commands. Oh well.

I guess that the people that keep adding time at few seconds from the end thinks they're somewhat funny.

Aaaand it's Gothic. Going to sleep now.

NWN could be cool as long as there are still some good servers and campaigns out there.

Base game is frankly terrible so from that perspective it wouldn't be a good choice.

Well if NWN comes, it would probably be the Diamond edition with all the expansions.

I can't believe what I'm reading.

You mean there are still people who don't own the D&D Collection? Even after GOG running at least 5 different 75%-off sales with it?

This amazes me as well :D I didn't think twice about dropping my cash for that entire collection. Heck I even paid full price for Neverwinter Nights 2 on Steam when it first released.

I bought so many of them piecemeal a looooong time ago. I just need Arcanum at this point. Maybe Icewind Dale, although I prefer ToEE with mods for my D&D battle heavy fix.

...really? The actual base campaign? I honestly find it to be one of the worst D&D games as far as ones based on the actual rules go. Mask of the Betrayer is the first official NWN related product I ever enjoyed.

NWN is proof that Bioware was declining just fine without blaming their later shift to consoles.

I never played the official expansions to NWN1, maybe there's a gem in there. I just used it as a platform for user made content, which it was brilliant at. Still probably not surpassed by any current product in fact.

I would disagree with this entirely. I really enjoyed the expansions as well. I remember playing the base campaign and all the expansions during my vacation back then. It was so much fun :) I really want to fire up part 2 because my PC couldn't run that game very well when it was released back then.

People are acting like Gothic 1 is bad. It's a bit old and archaic, but I thought it was great. Gothic 2 though, now that game is amazing.

Serious Sam: The First Encounter for $0.59 is really cheap but already gotten it from the Humble Bundle Weekly pack.

Seems like the bonus stuff for it is just the soundtrack.

EDIT: The timer seems to increase slowly so the price must be the motivating factor behind it lol.

So Serious Sam: the First Encounter is the 59c game they kept mentioning. I already own all the SS stuff on Steam though so -1 for me.

Good price, have no real interest in the game however...

Same. I guess this is going to be it for me for this sale. I'm going to bed before the next game comes up and by the time tomorrow comes, we'll be in the years where I already own the games that interested me.

One of those instances where I see a game that is really really cheap but would I really really care? I've had situations where I would only get X game because of how cheap it is and the not the game itself.

Serious Sam for 59 cents probably means it's gonna be around for a lil bit.
+3

Missing tonight is gonna be far sadder than it was last night. So many good games in the 2000s :|
