GOG DRM-Free Time Machine Sale

Well this is disappointing. I already own the retail version of Soul Reaver (and I'm not a great fan of 3rd person action either). I wish they'd have chosen some other game for 1999.

Decline time again.

Can Soul Reaver be played with a controller without too much fuss?
I think it supports DirectInput. Can't remember though how well Xbox 360 controllers work with DirectInput games, I think I read somewhere that there are some problems.

Already snatched the complete Legacy of Kain Collection during the last summer sale, next offer please.

with directinput, xinput controllers have the analogue triggers mapped as a single axis, ie you can't press both triggers simultaneously and you may have problems mapping them for games expecting buttons. That's about it. I think there are unofficial drivers out there to bypass this problem.

How is featuring games that millions played on console like Rayman and Soul Reaver really bringing new people into the realm of GoG goodness?

I've bought Wizardry 6 + 7 and Star Control 1 + 2 during this sale. More games like these...

Argh,
Deus Ex: -1
.

That would have been for 1995, or possibly 1990. So not gonna happen.
The [Crusader: No Remorse] stole your baby.
Heroes V Complete could make its appearance during the sale. It's from... hmm... 2006? IINM.

I didn't mind Crusader, though I wish it was bundled with No Regret.

Bwahaha, this was hilarious. The GOG team didn't even let the SR timer sit at 0 before switching. :D It seems they've become just as impatient as we are to see the end of the sale.

EDIT: Oh, it seems they've removed the incline/decline options. Pity, 'cause I'd figured out a way to lessen the impact of a purchase on the timer, by clicking the '-1' before purchasing.

EDIT X2: Wait, WTF?!? The timer expands now?!? A few minutes ago the max time was 1:33, now it's 1:45?!?

Great game, great choice but I already have it.

On the bright side, my wallet is spared another blow

Edit: They were gone for me too, but I refreshed and they're showing up again. This one does looks like it is gonna last a good while XD

I love Deus Ex, but I -1'd it to help us move along. So this is going to be this sale's Jack Keane, but at least people will be happy, instead of sad.

Is the PC Soul Reaver well done? PC ports varied in quality a lot at that time.
It's probably too late now, but I think the PC version is pretty well done. I played it back in 2001 or 2002 on a midrange system and it ran like a charm.

Hmm, is Deus Ex 1 really that good? Tempted to get a copy.

There is five minutes more on the timer than there was when I posted twenty minutes ago. Kyle Bosman's time machine has had unforeseen consequences.

Only downside with the PC port is that it doesn't use the updated textures from the Dreamcast port and that they didn't manage to port over the dynamic music. Other than that, it's a solid port.

If you can get over the terrible graphics and voice acting, then yes. It's a lovely game and there's a LOT of freedom in how you approach every situation in the game. Some really obscure solutions that the game even acknowledges.

It's one of the best games of all time.

Seconded. I didn't play it till 3 years ago (my system in 2000 wasn't up to running it), and had an absolute blast. Yeah the graphics were a bit dated, but it's a really fun game. Definitely in my top 10 PC games.
