I'm rooting for The Grand Budapest Hotel to win everything it's nominated for, and for either Woody or McConaughey to nab the globe.

Fucking St Vincent? Really? Bill Murray was good in it but that's about it, come on.
Selma also seems like a questionable choice.

Nothing for Inherent Vice?

Nothing for XmanDFOP? By the way that film has been hyped around here, you'd think it would win everything.

Golden Globes doesn't do much with technical awards, so a film like that isn't going to get any kind of love at the Globes.

The lack of love for Interstellar, though, is surprising, and this can't be a good sign for Paramount.

Sorry for all the confusion guys. The Hollywood Reporter only included some of the nominations in their list (messing up a few of the categories), so I was scrambling for another source. I'm just going to add the NYT's round-up instead since it actually makes sense.

Really pulling for Boyhood in Drama and hoping for Birdman or Grand Budapest to take Comedy.

Inherent Vice won't get many nominations this season. It's not a critical darling. It looks like it doesn't play it safe at all and is narratively all over the place (which makes me want to see it more).

I enjoyed Birdman and Grand Budapest, both very good films, but it's a bit unfair for Birdman to win imo because it's not a Comedy/Musical
Their comedy/musical section is always a joke I swear. Every year there is one that is just puzzling. I believe Before Midnight was a "comedy" last year.

Oh for fucks sake - nothing for Hannibal. Again. Brooklyn Nine-Nine snubbed too.

But I'm very happy about Jane the Virgin grabbing two noms. Well deserved and makes me much calmer about its renewal chances - no way in hell CW cancels it this season. When was the last time ANY show on that network got a major award show nod?

Here's what I think will win:
Best Drama: Boyhood
Comedy: Birdman
Drama actor: Cumberbatch
Drama Actress: Julianne Moore
Comedy actor: Keaton
Comedy actress: Amy Adams
Director: Linklater
Screenplay: Birdman
Supporting actor: Simmons (tough category)
Supporting actress: Patricia Arquette

What happened to B99? It won last year and now its gone. The comedy series category is pretty awful in general. Aside from Orange is the New Black which isn't even a fucking comedy. On the movie side I'm kind of surprised at the snubs for Unbroken. Figured Jolie would be a huge threat.

Wants to outlaw technological innovation.
James Spader deserves those best actor/best performace gongs.

If it wasn't for him the show would have been cancelled by now.
For The Blacklist? Isn't it the most DVR'd show, and didn't Netflix just pay for $2 million per episode?

On Topic: Wow this is the first year where I have never seen any of these movies...or heard really of these movies.

Christopher Nolan should have got the nod for best director.

As I mentioned, there's no love for Interstellar at all. I imagine that Paramount doesn't see much hope for it for awards this point, which is why they've apparently doubled down on their Boyhood deal with IFC, as that's been getting lots of love so far.
