I've always wondered how hard it'd be to get an Amiboo around here, so I guess I'll find out when this come out. I feel like I'm the only one in this town that has a Wii U.
Oh yes, thank god this will fulfill the needs of all those Wal-mart customers who were just dying to get their hands on an exclusive amiibo. The discrimination is finally over.
I might buy a couple of these and sit on them. Gold Mario seems like a great way to sell out Of an amiibo.
Thanks, I bought 2. I like how it said "Free Shipping to Store" I put my address and it refused to let me pick it up at store. FM State.
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Mario has always been golden in the minds of his fans. On March 20, Nintendo will launch the Super Mario amiibo—Gold Edition, a shiny gold-colored Mario figure that arrives on the same day as the Mario Party 10 game for the Wii U console. The Super Mario amiibo—Gold Edition will be sold exclusively at 3,000 Walmart stores in the U.S. at launch at a retail price of $12.96.
Note: There are 4,524 potential Walmart stores in the USA (3,877 excluding Sam's Club) where Nintendo could have carried these amiibo figures.
So not only is it Walmart exclusive, but it's not even featured in all of the Walmart stores.
I figured since I put my address in the "Free Pick-up" and it defaulted to shipping at home.Note: There are 4,524 potential Walmart stores in the USA (3,877 excluding Sam's Club) where Nintendo could have carried these amiibo figures.

Awesome. I got lucky for once
So does Wal-Mart put a hold on your account or do they just outright debit the account?
Ah what the hell. Went ahead and pre-ordered one.

The content may be mature. You must be 17 years old to purchase this item.
Does that # include grocery stores though? My initial thought was it's not all Wally World stores cause some are just grocery stores.
And it gone, just when I was checking out too.
Oh well, not dying for this guy.
Dammit sold out.
Out of stock :-/
They limited it to 2 per order at least. Why these companies don't limit the number that can be purchased is beyond me.
I was able to pre-order one. Not planning on keeping it/planning on trading in the B/S/T thread (for EQUAL value...not looking to profit/scam people).
Keep your eyes open.
Why these companies don't limit the number that can be purchased is beyond me.
I was literally asleep so you must mean that in a literal sense.
It was limited to two on walmart.com. Or did you mean in-store?
Last time I was at Walmart they had 3 Amiibos. 2 Marios and a Zelda.
...I really doubt Walmart's ability to keep this in stock, ever.
lolYour best bet is to stay awake until I post in the B/S/T thread.
