I don't understand why anyone who would care enough about software updates to follow a liveblog/stream preview of a new version would get anything other than a Nexus device.

From the screenshots I'm seeing, the cards and Google search results UI looks very nice. clean and easy to read. a little bit of style. very nice.

Because the One X hardware is much better than the Galaxy Nexus & flashing a custom rom, such as CM9 or the eventual CM10 is easy enough.

LOFL!!

Andy Rubin's look of: "I really respect this guy and how much money he is making me...."

BUT NONE OF THAT CONTENT IS AVAILABLE TO ME! Damn, being a EU Google user is really starting to feel like a lost cause...

Reading books?

No e-ink.

No thanks.

Even this guy knows that. He laughed.

Worded meanly, but it's the ugly truth. If timely OS updates are a major concern, make the path between you and the software upgrade as speed bump-free as possible, which means get a Nexus device.

I already know that, and that's why Android can't be taken seriously to mass casuals who eventually switch to iPhones.

Google needs to fix that.
