Google+ Invite Begging thread

My invites are working too! Yay. If anyone needs an invite, pm your email. Although, I'd be shocked if there is anyone in here that isn't already on G+. :p
 
Does signing up for "Keep Me Posted" mean invites will not work?

I had someone try to invite me and it said I already had an account, which is clearly not the case. I don't know why it'd be that way.
 
To those already on +, if I want to help people here get in do I just send them a straight invite (option on the bottom right of the page) or do I need to share a status to a circle that the newly added people are a member of?

I've been out of the social network game for a month now, so it's going to be crazy building this up. I always hated that shit my goofy and weird hipster acquaintances wrote on my wall could be read by my family.

It seems to be both. Share a post, enter someone's email address, they'll get the button that says "Join Google+"

or on your Home page you'll see "Send invites" and the icon to add email addresses which, incidentally, is on my page now which means the gates are probably open right now.

Nope!

So, if you have a circle called "girls I want to fuck" it will be known only to you... though, I would advise against that. lol

Each iteration of social network introduces new features.
People want to play with the idea of putting themselves on the web in some way and so far Google+ is giving pretty decent granular controls over how you share with people you connect with.

That's sort of like asking what the point of smartphones/notebooks/technologic advance is.

I don't think G+ is about putting yourself out there - I think it's about sharing certain things w/ certain people in a way that's unique so each user gets to use the net the way they want to, rather than have default apps like FB and twitter. My use of G+ is basic for now but I do like having access to more people that I'm interested in, which FB doesn't allow and Twitter limits.

Of course you could then ask Y the hell we don't simply talk to one another rather than mass-communicate but I think we're past that now.

Thank you Inanna! It's going to take me some time to adapt to it since I've been out of the social network thing for a couple of years now but I'm quite excited to try this G+ thing!
