I don't really care if the movie kinda sucks, if it's free, it's another option that I can use if someone else wants to watch something at my place.

Free movie rental for Chromecast users currently, I believe.

Gotta open the chromecast app, connect to your chromecast and then check for offers. Google will cover the cost of your rental when you go through the checkout.

I rented the Water Diviner.

Just FYI, the Billie Holiday album has been removed. Tried adding it to my mom's account today and it's back to full price.

Looks like they're doing a Free App of the Week promo, though I don't know whether it'll be a regular feature, since it's behind the "Family Fun" promo banner. This week it's a kids' app, PBS Kids' Daniel Tiger's Grr-ific Feelings:

as an aside, ever since Apple launched Apple Music they havent been doing any free music downloads anymore. Or at least I can't find them anymore.
