GoW2 - Why is it so clean? like an X360 game

I've never played God of War 2, but the areas in the first game (and I've beaten it) were much smaller than those in Ninja Gaiden.

As a matter of fact, the whole world of Ninja Gaiden is connected.
 
I hope my PS3 doesnt eff with the graphics on this one. Cause I'm waiting patiently for this game to kick some ass.
 
You, and many other Xbots, will totally be pwned if God of War 2 runs in 1080i. Even in 480p it wipes the floor with Ninja Gaiden. I mean honestly, what about Ninja Gaiden looks better than God of War 2? Is it the small confined rooms, bad camera, and generic enemy designs, or the 1 on 1 battles in small rectangular rooms?

Me too. I think this should be goW and gears should be GoW. The capital G in Gears of War becuase it has a g for Gears and a g for (amazing) graphics. g + g = G! If god of war was on the PS3 (like it should be dammit) it's graphics might have been good enough to take Gears' capital G away. Am i right? HUH? Anyone want to fist fight over it!?

So a game can't look better than another game if it doesn't have as many polygons or light sources? I said WOW.
 
The flood of GameFAQs Sonybots, Xbots and Nintentards really has to stop at some point. The recent threads (VF5) are unreadable beacause of them.
 
I've always felt that GOW1 looked better than NG and I own them both. If you were to compare the individual parts of each game NG would probably win in every area but GoW just comes together so amazingly well and thatÂ’s what matters.
 
since i felt GoW 1 was one of the most polished games, that i expirianced, i am looking forward to get my hands on the successor. hopefully there will be more big boss battles, that in the first game.

okay seriously how the hell is this shit funny. all he did was open MSPaint, draw a crude word balloon, and put the word BULLSHOT as if the minotaur was saying it. do you people just have negative threshholds of humor? If I were to take a random photograph of a cat and photoshop it saying "bullshot" would I get 20 responses filled with ****ing :lol 's? what if I used gary coleman? would that be more or less?! steven segal? there's a system here at work and I sure as hell don't understand it. All would be less funny than a half-bull screaming "Bullshot!" It's the irony, because it's not every day you get a bullshot with an actual bull (or half-bull in this case) in it. But surely you jest :)

GoW 2 in 720p or 1080i would've been ownage but it ain't gonna happen. :P

Anyway the first game looks awesome at 480p / 16:9 on my HDTV so I assume GoW2 will look great too! I can't wait for GoW2. ^__^
 
Actually, GOW2 looks very good so these screens are pretty representitive of the game. Just a bit cleaned up ala red Steel shots

QFT.... The Titan was one point in the game where i had to wrap my head in bedsheets because I thought it was going to explode.... I mean the Idea has been done before... But The GodoW team did such an amazing job in the execution of it. I was sooo frickin impressed to see the titan... SOOO frickin impressed.... And just how he was walking and everything was great great great about it

**** Viral marketing. I HATE that shit.

This is just me, not Sony talking. I'm not giving the official line or anything like that. Not my place to.

But to me, I've always been of the mind of: show your product and if it's good and relevant to your audience and a decent-to-great money value, people will show up for it. Period.

I have NEVER purchased shit just because of viral marketing. Or ANY marketing for that matter.

I hope the failure of Snakes on a Plane (even tho I hear it was a decent film) stops marketers from going ga-ga trying to tease and trick people into shit.

I think the idea of a commercial and marketing campaign trying to sell you on a vibe or feel or idea VERSUS the product itself is very old thinking and is no longer relevant in a wolrd where we are all so connected. It worked in the past but word of mouth is way too strong now.

Ok, sorry to rant. You hit one of my pet peeves! :)

It really does look beautiful.

Maybe it's better "tuned up" for HD than the first one, for lack of a better technical term, because God of War doesn't look that smooth in 480p, at least on my setup, whereas newer games like Guitar Hero II (in which visuals are also entirely irrelevant :lol) look great in 480p. God of War really was an amazing, amazing piece of work in terms of both aesthetics and gameplay, so I'm pretty excited about it's sequel, last gen or not.

(As for the other thing, if you want to say holiday, say holiday, if that guy over there wants to say christmas, cool, everyone should say what they want and no one should get grumpy and try to correct the other guy.)
