Lol, please, I beg of you, go put Ninja Gaiden Black in your Xbox again (if you even have one), because you honestly do not know what you are talking about.
Have it right here on my 360. Yes, it's one of the best looking games of this past generation, but it does not top God of War in every area of the game. There are things God of War does better simply because of the hardware it's on. Xbox doesn't have as much raw polygon fill rate as PS2, nor does it have as much frame buffer bandwidth. This has been discussed numerous times at places like Beyond 3D.
Which game had no load times?
Which game had motion blur?
Which game had more moving objects on screen?
Which game used polygons for distant backdrops instead of flat 2D pictures?
Which game had better animation?
Which game had better depth of field, transparencies, particle effects?
Answer:
The first stage showed off the PS2's fill rate pretty remarkably with all that rain. I was pretty much floored when I fought the Hydra, in the rain, with motion blur, I don't think I've ever seen a game jump off the screen like that before.
I could argue the other way too, and that's the point here.
I don't think the Xbox could run God of War, there just isn't enough frame buffer and fill rate to do some of the effects, and I don't think the PS2 could run Ninja Gaiden it just doesn't have the memory or the pixel shading capability.
Am I saying PS2 is more powerful than the Xbox?
No, I'm not. It isn't. But there are hardware designs that allow it to do some neat tricks the other consoles would have trouble doing properly.
Grayman
It isn't line doubled, it's 1080i just with some over scan space used as part of the resolution. It was the 60fps that made it possible as every two frames are blended to create one field. This gives you 1080i resolution 30 fields per second. If it were line doubled you would get no increase in resolution. In other words, it wouldn't look like
this.

The flood of GameFAQs Sonybots, Xbots and Nintentards really has to stop at some point. The recent threads (VF5) are unreadable beacause of them.
Sorry Borys, I'm just defending the sparks.
