So I seen a car in the Used Dealership for 14,000,000cr. It was a 1970 Ford, forget the name. The back end was shaped like a truck and the front looked like a car. Probably the only time I will see it :(

14M Cr? wow wonder what it was

I know I said I wasn't gonna buy any standard cars but the prelude I just bought looks good and just blitzed everyone else in the FF races :lol

FWIW, there are a couple of A-Spec races that require the use of a standard car.

Question: I took some photomode pics and the resolution is 1620x1080, is that the highest res possible or am I missing something?

Hit triangle for camera options and select a 16:9 aspect ratio. Then you can take 1080p pics.

Any word on the display option Flicker control and Sharpen?? what the heck do they do, and should I use them???

Jonesing to get a race in before I leave for Thanksgiving Dinner....

Flicker Control helps immensely with the image quality on SDTV's. Without it, everything jitters and text is nearly unreadable.

Sharpen does the same thing on SDTV's but without the jitters.

I ended up using Flicker Control and it makes the game look great on an SDTV.

Played this game for a couple of hours. The license tests are a BITCH. Still feel compelled to do them though, dunno why :lol

Anyway, having played the game, I seriously dunno what all those guys are bitching about. The game looks great, clean image, the standard cars look fine. This game is just classic GT. Dunno what they expected.

nfs

I just notice a nice touch that traction control is set for each individual car, so its more of how you set your car up than a game difficulty aid, I like that :D

Me personally have been turned off by all the retarded technical issues. The loading single-handedly ruins much of the fun for this game.

Things like no cockpit view for most cars become minor complaints when compared to the technical stuff.

The thing I hate most about console gaming, lack of customization options. The brake pedal on my DFGT is apparently a bit loose and is ever so slightly engaged at all times (like 2-5%). On PC This doesn't matter cause I can set the deadzone on the brake to 5% in the driver software and everything is golden, but on console I'm fucked.

I guess it's time to Jury-rig something together with rubber bands to keep the brake lifted.

Have they even started the marketing campaign in Western Europe/USA? I've seen they've added GT5 to 3 boxes in What's New (UK), but have they actually started the ad campaign on TV/print media?

There was a full back page advert in the METRO newspaper yesterday, A few million people would have saw that.................

There has been absolutely nothing else :/

Also the full lap of the Nurburgring in the first Merc challenge has a nice little touch,
seeing random drivers going about there business as in real life while you're doing your lap

The loading times are pretty normal once it is installed, so I had no problems there. Or maybe I am just not in the right frame of mind to nitpick. :lol

Yeah, that was a really nice touch. Although I woulda liked them to go one step further and have a DTM racer or two blow by you like what would also happen in real life :D

I have the same issue. My fix: press the brake pedal lightly during calibration. Works like a charm. :-)

This. I like to left foot brake but I'm always worried my foot may be braking ever so softly. The wheel settings are pathetically barebones. That goes for a lot of the settings, I'd love to get rid of all the crap on the hud as well.

I asked yesterday, but I ended up playing / sleeping for a long ass time and couldn't find my post...so here it goes again!

Is the YouTube uploading just put on hold until they get it up and running? I tried to find it for a while but couldn't locate the option so I assume it's not there.

So mow much time did everyone end up playing the first day?

I started playing at 4:30 and played almost straight until 2:30 in the morning, only stopped to eat dinner.

Great game, hope they patch a few cockpit related things though. Option to remove HUD, and use the sounds from 3rd PPOV because the sounds comeout really muffled and wierd in cockpit mode.

I put a stage 1 engine tuneup on on '71 Mach 1 and it made it sound like a electric engine. :\ Hope it's only a bug.

Oh man, I could kiss you right now. Now there's nothing inhibiting my raging hard on for this game.

A million thanks.

I'm trying to win all the FR races with my 510 ('69 Nissan Bluebird 1600). It's a bitch, but it's so much fun to run circles around all those big heavy cars in this little pipsqueak.

Nobody knows for certain. But right now replays are the only thing that cannot be even shared with fellow gamers. Drivers, courses, music, cars, pictures, items, and museum cards all can be. I personally think they're waiting on something, cuz it'd be too weird that replays are the only thing that cannot be shared, or in the case of YouTube, uploaded. I doubt it's just a file size issue.

It says the patch will unlock (optional) damage for arcade/lower levels, rather than only be available for level 20 and up.

Furthermore, there will be a (small) performance upgrade. They expect more updates before Christmas.

Interesting thing - i played 2p split screen arcade today, Eiger with WRC cars, and we were messing around, and noticed proper damage (it took few hits, but fenders were flapping around)...

This is at level 7 or 8.

So obviously it happens gradually as you level up, even now.

:lol

Just went into spectator mode to watch a race, it was 2 Calsonic R35 GTRs vs someone in a Mines R34....the guy in the R34 destroyed them.

Everything loads so much faster and its much more stable, thats a huge relief. Can't believe how good the physics are though (still need a faster car though to see if its better than TT).

Question, I took my Silvia for the first time on a race and it had a check engine light on? :lol First time driving it for god sakes. Whats the deal?

the implementation on the ds3 is just incredible...miles ahead of prologue. although, i am desperate for a damn wheel.

starting the license test, seeing cars with miles in the dealership......ahhhhh the memories are back! fucking amazing!:D

It might be a length issue. I believe there's a 10min maximum for YouTube videos.
