fucking S-9. If I do good the AI pit manoeuvres me on the straight! It continues to do this until I am too frazzeled to make it to the straight.

Physics are really great. This is from someone who bought the Prologue bundle but was disappointed with Prologue's physics. They really are up there with Forza 3, although I've never played a racing sim on my PC.

It's too soon to give an opinion about that, and it would be unfair to make a comparison between a sim like gt5 that tries to simulate the handling of so many cars ( and so different between them ) and other products that are much more focused on few cars, often of the same kind.

All i know that when i drive in GT5 everything feels natural to me, and this feeling happened to me in the past only for few of the PC sims i drove.

You don't import it into the playlist. You go to the options menu and select it there
 
Golded the Sambabus challenge, got 5th in the Elise challenge on my first try, so I should have it golded by the end of the night.

I am scared to find out which car the Expert level challenge for the Top Gear Test Track uses... sheesh.

Apparently we're getting a patch on the 27th to add online features and possibly another patch on December 1st that will include more damage in lower tier races.

i noticed damage on lvl7 or 8 in arcade, i think by the time they "patch" it, everyone will be well above that anyway.
 
The second Top Gear challenge is pretty demanding stuff. I managed to sneak into 3rd on the very last bend after many, many fails. I'm not sure it's possible to get 1st place without a wheel.
 
Are you kidding me on the Merc Nurburgring challenges. I can't even get past the first with anything but a bronze. How the hell do they expect me to gold that!?

Well I don't think any game is the best, you just have your preferences.

But GT5 is certainly up there from what I've played briefly and what I enjoy the most is the sense of weight and gravity. Never before, or at least, never to this degree has it been so apparent that you're driving up and down gradients as in GT5. In that respect it has the best sensation of any game I've ever played (and I play them all, iRacing, GTR, rFactor, nKp, LFS... etc).

Game is fucking awesome btw. Can't believe I was worried by some static images and less than flattering youtube videos. Overall product is amazing.
 
I'm gonna be that guy, if anyone has an SLS stealth code from their amazon pre-order and doesn't want it I'll take it off your hands. :]

The soundtrack is surprisingly hip, how does it suck?

It's a pretty well rounded mix.

Have you even gone into the Music Library? There's so much music under the hood and they even let you customize what you want to hear.

ALSO: Does anyone know what song plays when you buy a Premium car?

Shit is AWESOME.

(I tried looking in the Sound Library (hence the above), but couldn't find it.)
 
Even though i did the full install on start up sometimes during loading it says 'installing'...is this happening to anyone else?
 
I messed around with the Headtracking settings, I don't think you can get rid of the delay (about 200ms if I had to guess), but otherwise it works pretty flawless, especially as I have really bad lighting conditions at the moment, will test with daylight tomorrow.
Good enough to take a look in the rear mirrors while in the narrow(er) cockpit views.

The immersion would be better if you could also look up&down, basically mimicking all your head movements (actually you can look down, but just an inch or so, works also better if you move your whole head down instead :P ). I like it.

It installs as you play. I thought translator san might have mispelled loading but whatever.

The music that plays when you win a race is like the heavens opening
 
Question for those messing around with the track generator...

Is it somehow possible to create a track more or less like this?
