You can.

Click on there profile picture, then click PROFILE, and then click the picture of the camera :D

They have to "share with friends" before you can see them though.

I wish you could pop up a mini-garage when choosing events, so you could switch to the necessary car without having to back out through all the menus. It's annoying as hell.

I still don't "get" b-spec. I mostly didn't touch it until I was level 10 in a-spec, so I just have my driver use whatever car I'm in and pretty much put the controller down and come back four minutes later to collect my credits. The one time I did touch it before I had some decentish cars, my orders only seemed to screw him up. Pace up makes him fly off the course, pace down lets everyone pass, overtake makes him fly off the course, maintain is just kind of there :lol

I also wish that your songs could be integrated into the menu of the stock music in the game. I guess it's not something you see in any ps3 game so it's not too surprising. Still, I need to make a sweet playlist for this.
 
Starting to think I should have done the penniless trophy first. All of the used cars end in weird values and everything in the dealership or tune shop runs by 50s or 100s.

Once you choice an event you can select your garage, it's a little silver icon in the bottom right, if that's what you mean.

I swear that there's an option in the lower right corner sometimes to pop up your garage and change your car. Keep an eye out for it, it'll save you a bunch of time in the menus.

I swear I'm one step away from getting a second slim as mine is in transit and will likely not be here in a week or two, just so I could get to play a darn game that has been sitting on my desk for days now, and which game i've been waiting for for the past few years.. name that game.
 
Is there any difference between the GT4 wheel and the $99 GT5 wheel? I've been using the GT4 wheel and from the pics they look the same minus the orange twist nob. Are there any big changes under the hood between the two?
 
Anybody find a good race for grinding? In GT4 there was Rally de Capri which got 250k when you sold the prize car. That race also took about 4 minutes. Is there anything in GT5 like this?

I guess I'm done with the game for today. Got all gold A & B licenses. The hardest one for me was definitely A-3. I could spend hours and hours just doing these time attacks in the license tests. SO MUCH FUN!

It was all worth it for this one event. What a great feeling driving on the 'ring for the first time in this car.

DFGT has 900 degree rotation. Has the PS3 home button. Has the gear shifter of course. Not sure of any other differences. I found the GT4 wheel (EX) on clearance last week at walmart but used it once for 10 minutes of burnout paradise and returned it. Not because it sucked but because I got a DFGT for $90 tax in.

Not going to happen. I played around with FreeTrack and I had enough issues getting accurate tracking using 3 bright red LED lights as its orientation. It was especially finicky in certain lighting conditions. Achieving face tracking with the same camera and no easy to track led lights is going to be, as I predicted, garbage.

Well, the GT4 wheel has 900 degree rotation too and the gear shifter. So I'm guessing I'm just missing the home button and the orange nob. Which is good because I don't want to buy another wheel!

This is the GT4 wheel I have that I'm talking about:

I think at the very least they should update the manual to show people in layman's terms what all the Eye settings mean. Even if it doesn't fully work, at least I can mess around with it.

If I remember correctly, it also has a smaller diameter which gives it a toyish feeling.

They should sell a hat that you can attach a move controller to. It will look silly as hell but at least you'd get decent tracking :P

Oh okay sorry I think you have the pro version maybe? The wheel I bought was the EX with the blue grips on the wheel. It's quite old. Box said from 2004 I think.

At least I think it was the EX. lol
 
which car is good for the japanese classics thing? lol

can't seem to find any cars from that far back?

is there car trading in the game?
 
Welp, PD did it.

I've found it's lacking polish in some important areas, contains some frustrating design choices, and suffers from feature creep. But the core of GT5, that it's "the real driving simulator", is really solid. And that's all I've ever wanted from a GT game. I am really pleased with it and it's going to be burning up countless hours of my time. Bravo.
 
OMG, there is a HUGE ERROR in the Apex book that comes with the collectors edition. On the last paragraph on page 20 it says the Alfa Romeo 6C when there is no 6C only the 8C.

Pre-order canceled. :lol

Log out of PSN or disable network access, it will fix it. PD/Sony are working on it. Check the latest news from the main menu

I'll post a video this week-end to show you how to set it up. It's not crap at all, it works as it should. It's so weird to have limited it to Arcade though, I think they will patch it in a coming update.

I tried both and 1080p looks sharper & more detailed on my 50" plasma. there's even a slight flicker effect in 720p mode not sure what thats about.
