Coincidentally at my work today the head of IT was enabling some firewall blocks after getting some new network gear. He had a bunch of gaming/sports/actually fun sites specifically blocked and a few metatag filters at the director's request but we made enough Hitler jokes that he relented and just banned porn.

Up until 28 seconds it's all in game, from 29 - 45 secs it's all real

Well, I put in about 4 hours last night with GT5P and the new DS3. At first I couldn't figure out why there wasn't any rumble despite it being enabled both on the system itself and within GT5P, but then I figured out the dial on the pre-race menu was set to 0 automatically. I set it to 5 and now get nice rumble on most cars (the Cappuccino, though, hardly rumbles).
Initially bought the Integra and easily beat all the C-Class Sunday Cup races. Bought a lightweight car and beat that race, but then tragedy struck on the C-Class Suzuki Swift race! I know I suck at this game, but damn this race is kicking my ass. You have to beat 1:02 I think it is to get gold, but the most I can squeeze out of the thing is 1:05-something. Do you have to draft the faster cars that pass you from time to time in order to win, or is it possible just with sheer driving? I'm using the default pre-race settings, so maybe that has something to do with it.

F430 is glorious. 599 sounds better though. V12's always sound better than V8's!

However the best engine sound in the world by a country mile is an F1 V10 (not rev-limited) from 2004. 20,000rpm, 3.0litre, 1000bhp micro-engine, 90-110degree V-angle.

With the Ferrari contract there is a possibility that Kaz will include one of the "fake"(in livery only) F1 cars from the past in GT5. All Ferrari single seaters up to 2006 will be available to him. I hope he picks the any from the F2002 to F2004. F2002 is the greatest F1 car of all time.

This thread has contributed to the hole being burned in my wallet right now. I wasn't planning on buying a PS3 for a while, but I think this game has pushed me over the edge into the "buy" category. I need a 1080p display, too. This is going to be an expensive holiday season.
