As far as we know, the pre 3.50 copies were never printed to begin with.

They cancelled the Nov 5th release on the 13th of October (pretty much 3 weeks before) I doubt they planned to print all the Discs and get them to stores in 3 weeks so it is highly likely it was in production when the news came through mid October.

Yeah. My guess would be if you buy for example a Mclaren in 'Mclaren Orange' you can then apply that paint to other cars... say a Ferrari.

That's just wild speculation as there was never any indication that they even went into production with the game before the 3.5 firmware version.
